Frankly, I'm a bit ambivalent about it. I really like the character himself, the whole alien elf concept is intriguing, but he's terribly buggy. For example, and I had to find this out the hard way, his dialogues won't trigger unless you do his quest right away. Which is very easy to forget, because he won't pester you about it unlike other NPCs who start complaining if their own goals are ignored for a while. It's curious that you would mention that, since I just finished a fanfiction novel based on BG2 in which the romance (such as it was) featured Ediwn, called In the Cards. Oh, talking about alignment, that's another weird thing about Tsu. He's evil by default, but there's nothing evil in his behaviour.
