Graveyard Glitch

Post by Asako Fujita »

So I recently got a copy of the game again after getting my new computer. It is vista and the game runs fine. I have TOB installed and the latest patch as well. Now on two separate occasions with different game files when I try to visit the graveyard district, the loading screen goes black and the game no longer responds and I have to go to the task manager and shut it down.

It doesn't happen with any other areas as the first time it happened the graveyard was the last place i visited. And seeing as it is necessary to visit the graveyard to progress the story this is quite a dilemma. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening and/or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Hey, I have the exact same problem on my game....I'm running a lot of mods, so I thought one of them was to blame. What mods, if any, are you running?

Also, I've figured out that I can go to the graveyard during the day, but not at night. If I try to go out night game crashes to black and I have to ctrl+alt+delete to get out of it. I did do any experiment to see what would happen if I left the game running on the black screen and eventually Windows told me it had to be closed...

I'm running no mods. Just the game and the latest patch. I am using shadowkeeper so I can make my favorite characters a little bit more useable(i.e. make Aerie a straight mage). Though it did the same thing with another game that I had played without using shadowkeeper, or even having it installed.

I know that there is a cheat code that teleports you to a location, but I think I'll experiment around with stuff like you did first.

No on has an answer to this problem????

Hate to double post.... but since no one is replying I thought I would update my situation.

I reinstalled the game and my save game was still there(something I didn't know happened) graveyard works, but now the insides of certain buildings do the same thing and I have to shut down the game. Among these buildings are all the buildings in trademeet and the slums. So therefore I cannot pay Gayleen Bayle the 15000 gold to advance the plot.

I'm thinking about trying the reinstall it again and do that everytime there is an important area screwing up but that seems a little bit too much. Does anyone have a better solution to this problem??????
