#01: To, "Fljotsdale", the one with the cute red dragon icon. It was just a coincidence! It's based on my Greek and Chinese Zodiak signs combined, plus the "Star" referring to them being constellations. But I'm not a "Connie", so I went with "Star" instead. It replaces, "Star Free Spirit", a pen-name. Thanks for the welcome! I'm happy that you enjoyed my post!

#02: To, "Belthan", the one with the archer icon. Hmm. I just noticed how that line and the one above seem like episode titles for "FRIENDS".
But anyway, I thank you too. Funny anecdote! :laugh:

#03: To confess, I was the one whose head got slammed on the desk, so now I know how a stapler feels. My left ear rang for awhile, but it was never the payphone in the hall. I suppose that's what one should expect when playing in a college dormitory.

#04: I did have more points to make, but after my lunch, it was all I could do to not nap afterall. I waited up so that I could help Dad get his F-150 unstuck from the cattleguards and snow. Then once he was safely on his way, I went to sleep smelling like burnt rubber, and woke up smelling the same way. But I know I had something left to write about. It may yet come to me. Anyway, now it's back to playing the game for now.

#01: Ah, you like dragons, do you? I liked dragons even more once I learned that "Dragon" was my Chinese Zodiac thanks to that paper place mat.
I knew that I was a Leo already, but to find out I was also a Dragon, wow!
Then in retrospect I understood Bruce Lee better, as his year was also a year of the Dragon. So anyway, I enjoy dragon stories more than ever. I'd like to learn origami someday. Perhaps if I ever have a girlfriend to learn with.

#02: "Well, they're both good names. But LSD amused me." Thanks! Heh, when I saw that the new initials could be punned, I expected that some people might be amused.

#03: Oh, uh, "Star Free Spirit" was my idea way back when, of trying to come up with a "Tribal Name" for myself, when I was naive and didn't know better. (Thanks to seeing "Dances With Wolves" combined with memories of "The Brady Bunch" visiting the Grand Canyon.) I got "Free Spirit" from the name of my 10-speed bicycle from "SEARS", and "Star" because I wanted to be an astronaut. But dang Starlet Jones for wanting to go by "Star" instead of her actual first name! Plus damn somebody else, for stealing that ID from me too and ruining it for me!

#05: "Oh, the joys of being a student..." He was drunk when he did it. He came in wanting to put a six-pack of beer in the mini-refrigerator. He saw that we were playing a game, and he wanted to join in with his character. But we said he was too drunk and couldn't play, so he took offense.

#06: "Have fun!" Oh, I did. Anyway, Dad was stuck again this morning. But this time, instead of going out in my sleepwear, I put on my overalls. Then this time I went to bed in my overalls, but at least I didn't smell like a burnt rubber tire, because this time, it wasn't so bad and we got the truck loose much easier this time.

#07: Now I remember what I meant to write about earlier! The DARK BROTHERHOOD Quests! Bwahahahahahah! Okay, early on, some few computers ago, when I was still experimenting with how the game worked and all of that, and trying to learn what it was telling me to do. I honestly thought that my character was meant to become the leader of each faction, as a member of the Blades, he or she was infiltrating or working undercover in secret for the good of the Empire, and that once he or she was the head, he or she would then combine them together as the "Imperial Secret Service", when he or she became the new Emperor or Empress. Man, was I ever disappointed when that turned out not to be the case! So my characters and I moped around a while. Some of them took to killing sprees out of pure frustration, that would end with Martin's death causing the "game over" sign to pop up. Once I got over it though, I played the game differently, relearning it and seeing why what I thought might happen didn't, and then also actually reading the pertinant parts of the guide book. So it was like, okay, the Thieves Guild I play now, just to get the missing Count back, and as for the Dark Brotherhood, I now have a mod that allows me to refuse Lucien's offer. He now apologies for bothering me, gives me an extra Blade of Woe for my time, laments that I would have made an excellent assassin, and oh what a waste, then walks away in a huff. Then I use the other mod that allows me to recruit for my personal army, and I have Lucien working for me!
The worst DB quest was the Draconis Family, I suppose.

#08: I was attracted to this game in the first place, after watching my friend killing female bandits. I wondered why he did so. Sure, there was the bare breasted element of course. But I also wanted a chance to see if I couldn't play with more chivalry, and not kill the females. Nope. So I stopped playing mostly as a male, and switched to female, so it wouldn't be so bad. But now I've since learned, that once your fame and personality combined are high enough, everyone treats you like a superstar celebrity, and bandits run up to you and gush, and so forth. But now that my dog, "Skinny", who I renamed from "Ushnar's Skinned Hound", instigates fights on my behalf, my girl "Angie the Buxom" has to fight with the rabble anyway.

As for their quests, at least some of the targets are obviously bad guys. Did you ever go visit a prisoner in the Imperial Bastion? You'll meet the guy who wanted Rufio dead. Visit his seized home, and read his diary, and you'll learn why too. As for the rich guy in Bruma though, it was simply a nephew with no patience for his uncle to die of old age, so he paid for the "accident" so he could inherit the place! So that one isn't a good kill. The party guests seem to be racists at least. The guy doing his job though, well, that's bad, unless you think of him as opposed to you. So, it's a POV issue.

But the Draconis Family! Sure, they come off haughty, but that's not bad enough! Before I got this new mod, I coped by using the Resurrect Spell on them, after I enchanted their gear, and recruited them for my army to protect Martin during the Battle of Bruma! (Oh, I also set them to Essential, so they'd not die again!)

Anyway, the way I "hear it" (read about actually) there's incentive to achieve a 100% Quest score. Doing so unlocks a secret realm to retire in I suppose. It's an old Elven city supposedly. As I've always glitched my character beyond repair so close to 100%, I've yet to verify this for myself though!

Hmm. You've heard of "breast armor" right? Well, Angie the Buxom's breasts are her cuirass! The set she has now I enchanted with Feather 50%. She also has a lot of prank spells. Also after looting a body, she uses "Reanimated Helper" to get it outside. If outside already, then she casts "Polymorph Sheep" on them, so they are instantly reincarnated! Due to the influence of "TRON", I play games like this, knowing that I'm the "User", and ergo all NPC's et cetera should obey my avatar! :laugh: But yes, I do have a lot of odd mods! Oh yeah! My friend just had the original "Topless Mod" though. I've surpassed him since, using the "Eye Candy" ones. So I've learned why he played that way that day. He doesn't have the patience to watch me play though, as I do a lot of enchanting, and talking until there's nothing left to talk about, et al. To him it is just another game to beat so he can move on to the next one.

Yeah, I know a lot of the DB assassinations are of bad guys, and it isn't them I object to. And I quite liked killing that dark elf at the prison that is so unpleasent to your starting charater; but he was the only one I did like killing, actually. It's not a Guild I plan on playing again. Their entire outlook on life is totally contrary to my own ethics.

Hi, Fljotsdale! I'm glad to make you laugh! #00: "Reanimated Helper" is much more useful in the game than either "Hamburger Helper" or "Tuna Helper", though that's an assumption, as I've never actually tried it to confirm it 100%!

#01: The original "Topless Mod" simply reveals the built-in breasts, by removing the funny looking "bra" or top. The authoress simply tweaked something Bethesda opted not to do at the "last minute" supposedly. "Eye Candy" refers to a series of mods, designed to give players options concerning the sex appeal of the female body. For example, I use one that gives tan lines. The default breast size now uses the K-Cup mod. But when "Varied Breasts" came out, I use that one now, as it makes my PC's breasts unique compared to the NPC's busts that are still the K-Cup ones. It allows the various breast/bust/bosom choices to be worn as cuirasses, so that they can be enchanted. The author couldn't make them with clothing or armor options too, so they become the armor, thus making being a Nudist more sensible. When I created my race of Imperial Mythosians for my fiction, I realized that the females needed four breasts. When I found this mod, that allowed my to play a 4-breasted female, I was happy as it was a wish come true. So now my females can be Imperial Mythosians, not just simple Humans. I'd post a picture for you as an example, but I don't know how yet, and I don't want to presume or assume.

#02: The Dark Brotherhood! Yes, I know what you mean! Okay, there's a mod out called, "Kill the Dark Brotherhood" I think. It allows you to gain Fame Points for each DB member that you happen to kill, prior to meeting Lucien Lachance. Then there's a mod that allows you to simply outright refuse his offer, and it closes the quest out, rather than leaving it open as a temptation like the standard version does. I like them both! Now I have this third mod that I have yet to try out. It is so new to me, that at the moment, I don't recall what it does exactly! Oh, wait! It is the fourth mod! I forgot that I also have the one, that allows the DB Brothers & Sisters to fake their deaths for the Purification, and then when you are the leader, they come out of hiding. You simply whisper a warning to someone and then they take it from there. It comes with a sister for Antionetta Marie, who is also a merchant, to replace the kitty cat, unless she came with the mod that places alters of spellmaking and enchanting in the Sanctuary?

#03: Hey, you may kill Valen Dreth twice! The one at the start, is a seperate one from the one in the DB quest! But as I don't do the DB now, I recruit them both for my personal army. The mod I think is called, "Companion Share & Recruit". It is intended to help out with the "Battle of Bruma" and then the part where Martin must be escorted to the Temple of the One. But having too large an army causes drag for my system I discovered, so I don't bring everyone anymore, just one squad of the four. You pick 4 generals to lead squads and give them orders. Then the rest simply obey the squad general.

#04: Ethics! Funny that you should mention that. I found a Prostitution Mod and a mod that makes the NPC's notice how little clothing you have on, so it affects how they react to you in the Persuasion Mini-Game. If they aren''t human, they tend to look away. A lot of the males and some females say that line, "I like what I see!" a lot and have rather big grins. Some of the guards may fine you or warn you, while others may grin, or look away. The guy in prison for wanting Rufio killed, thus far, has been the only one to ask for sexual favors from Angie the Buxom though. But she's stuck in the sky now with Skinny. So I started over with "Apple Candy Cane". Angie's a blonde, Apple's got very pink hair and looks like her name sort of. Oh, and I have the mod that supposednly takes away the guards psychic crime detecting abilities. (Although I presumed it is because they use Crystal Balls.) Then I have one that affects bounty by region. Hmm. I'll stop here!

LOL! You really are into Mods, aren't you?!:laugh: I don't have any at all. Yeah, I've seen some that look pretty nice, and I've thought about trying them out - but in the end, I don't have that much confidence in my machine's ability to cope with 'em, so I've held off.
As for that battle with Martin at the end of the MQ, it's a doddle, really, and no need for additional forces (nor at the Great Gate, either, if you've collected a soldier from every city - though you are quite likely to lose both Baurus Jauffre).

At the last battle, just move towards where you know Mehrunes Dagon is so that the game registers him, go back to Martin, have conversation, and then run towards MD, past him, and into the Temple. Martin follows and appears inside, no more damaged than he was when you spoke to him and said "Follow me!"... and so it moves on to the end. If you hang around fighting things, instead of getting inside the Temple fast, the gates just keep pouring more enemies at you, so best not to hang around fighting, imo

Erm... however we are really WAY off-topic now, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of the other sort of Mods told us off!

IMO, the 'enhanced female' parts is over doing it.. It looks very much like they just stepped out of a mideval breast surgery or something. And looks like they'd have a heck of a time tryin to swing that Greatsword or fire a bow without having a screwed up physical dilema. And you gotta remember, they aren't built slim like fore-told Amazons. Nor the fact you can't use Javs in OB either.

But the 'dark-lingerie' to refab the styles I can understand like some of the female DB gals getting into some black corsettes or the such In fact, whenever I do make a female character - I try to find the closest I can to a corsette since playing on console

Yes, that is the drawback, in that all the playable humanoid species, are affected. But other than that, for the Humans, that is my fantasy preference. That's why they call it "Eye Candy". The rest is irrelevant. But switching to the one where the breasts are wearable, means that my character is finally unique, while the others aren't. Oh, and heheh, "Amazon" is Greek for "breastless"! Because back then they drew the bow string across the chest as men did, held their thumb under their armpit, to wait until given the order to release, if in that kind of battle. They found their breasts to be in the way, so in a ritual they sliced them off and used torches to cauterize them. Eating them to retain their full strength. (There's a group of breast cancer survivors who call them themselves "Amazons" because of that lore.) As for me, that would be impetus to invent a better method of archery! Which apparently they did, as they stopped doing that eventually!

Well, yes I am! I suppose I "love" to experiment. My friend Ron keeps lamenting to me, "Why don't you just play the game already?!" In the same voice he uses when he tells me to stop shooting, the guy's dead by now. I understand you situation though. When I first got the game, the computer I had then, made the world all white! Or black if inside! I felt like a blind man going by sounds. That was 3 or 4 computers ago. But even now, my latest one doesn't want to run it with the best quality graphics the game has to offer, or so it seems. I have "Windows Vista" now too, and sometimes the game crashes when I'm exiting anyway, like it did back then.

Oh, and as for your slight spoiler, that's what I intended to do with my army, but I only ever got them together in one place just once, for Bruma. Most of the time, they are too busy infighting to get them to obey me! Oddly enough, with my new character, she doesn't have the option to recruit like Angie did. With Angie I had her recruit every Drothmeri that didn't try to kill her. Now with Apple, I'm having her use her "Master Chameleon Ring", to just loot the place and avoid combat after learning that the first guy lacked the recruit option. I had him chase her outside and fight with an Imp that had chased her into the old ruins. He killed the imp, so I killed him, looted both, and then turned them both into sheep, only for a nearby wolf to chase them into the mountains. ("Polymorph Sheep" is a hoot!) I was looking for that mod I can't seem to find, that repairs the fence around the Anvil house, so as to keep my sheep that used to be ghosts, from wondering into town, and that's how I rediscovered this forum, after forgetting about the newsletter, and created a desktop shortcut. But back to Martin, sometimes I've had to use the "Teleport Others" spell to get Martin to where he needs to be. Once Chancelor Ocato even got ahead of himself and wondered in while Martin and I were preparing to have the battle, before it becomes automatic. So he gets to be an eyewitness tothe event, yet his dialogue still had him asking me what happened! Oh, yeah, I guess we've wondered off. :laugh:

Love Dark Brotherhood

I don't think I like murder but it is really easy to justify. I feel as if my character has multiple personalities one for each 'story line' in Dark Brotherhood he's a cold killer who follows orders to the letters but will deviate if given better choice. I put it down to fate almost if this was the real world if i didn't kill somebody someone else would and they might do it more painfully:mischief:. But i am disgusted by the FG quest. Halfway through killing I realized something was wrong and in my persona as doing the best I could for the guild felt bad but knew it was necessary to stop the Blackwood Company from future evils.

I found the Dark Brotherhood quests to be quite fun, to be honest. I suppose the main reason was because of just how devious they were. Drop an ornamental headpiece on someone, assassinate a houseful of treasure hunters... the list goes on and on. It also provided the most plot twists of an other quest in vanilla oblivion.
