Sounds like a bloody Indian movie.
I don't evny you at all.
Being in competition with your friend is not a good thing.

This is getting complicated - not a good thing to say the least.
Best of luck, but like i say to my friends:

Women are like management you always need an outside consultancy group! :D

The cynical friend is generally right but with a slightly negative twist. As for her friends being on your side, think for a second, if they say anything other than you are a nice guy or you'd be good with/for her, watch out, they may be making a pass at you. As in, "I don't know why she wouldn't go for a guy like you" etc. Or compliments. Keep both eyes open!

Oh, I know for a fact one of them was making a pass at me, jsut by some of the things she was saying (She told her to not let me go, that I was a Prince, and that I went from being a geek, to be a hottie)
