Well, though I don't quite know why, I sometimes find the longer posts by people like Chanak, and Scayde, and others somewhat intimidating, almost making me feel obligated to write a post of equal, or greater length (which at times, I just can't find the time, or inspiration to do). While it is very fine writing, it becomes overwhelming at times, and like Than said, it sort've eliminates some of the openess, because of how involved the writing becomes.
I, personally, haven't found the time or inspiration to even post a short addition lately (mostly do to a ton of stress since the end of November, and such, but with Christmas creeping up, I should be posting something soon), but I haven't felt the need to post anything. The most I could contribute to the story, at this point would be killing a spider here, and a
rothe there, and though I know how to write that to make it exciting (one of my stengths, in writing, IMHO), it feels somewhat lack luster. to be quite honest, until we actually leave the caves, Aegis will be more of a background character, though I do have some ideas for back on the surface, when things become a little more relaxed.
As for the mix of posting, I'm a bit leary about that. Seeing as I am one of the few people who contribute towards the stories in the Forgotten Realms forum here at GB, I become quite frustrated with the short posts (though, the ones there are often 2-3 sentences, which I'm sure wouldn't happen here

). Maybe if we encourage a bit more character interaction, inside of just writing the one character in, that we are writing for. For instance, there are some characters that ignored by some (Myself (though, I don't mind it too much), Nippy, and even Than, it seems), and some that everyone seems to always write in (Gwally, DW, BS). Perhaps if we were to encourage more group interaction amongst the characters, asking opinions and such, it would harbour some positive results, and maybe we'll find that nice mix Than's talking about. I don't know... Just a thought, I suppose.
