Can't say Dallas won, more like Buffalo lost, but, hey, I am celebrating anyway :D

Yet another horrible week. Oh, well. :( Unbelievably, someone in my office pool actually won 10 games this week! He was trying to pick the upsets and actually got them right. Unlike me... :(

Yet, our Cumulative scores just got a whole lot closer! We're all riding in one big clump, separated by only a few percentage points!

This coming week is going to be interesting, with the Cowboys going up against the Patriots in a battle of coaches and the Bengals have a guaranteed win against the hapless, no-good Chiefs :p . Just to drive me nuts, Denver comes off the bye against Flutie - a game that is sure to give me nightmares. Who should I pick? Who? Who?

Cleveland
New Orleans
Baltimore
Buffalo
Tennessee
Kansas City
Philadelphia
St. Louis
Carolina
Indianapolis
Denver
Seattle
Tampa Bay
Minnesota
New England
Pittsburgh

Well, it's another crapshoot week. When in doubt, I'm going with the home team.

Some quick hit thoughts:

The Chiefs are still going to win no matter what Chad Johnson says. The Bengals are better, and could even win their weak division, but their defense can't stop Priest Holmes for 60 minutes and their offense can't win in a shootout.

Miami rode Ricky Williams last year and still missed the playoffs; this year, their O-line in way underachieving and their passing game is somewhere between mediocre and bad. Jamal Lewis will wear down the Miami D and the Fiedler/Greise monster will rear its ugly head in a loss.

Indianapolis gets a mulligan.

Carolina will blitz the hell out of Patrick Ramsey and destroy the Redskins in a game where the score is closer than the play.

Daunte Culpepper vs. Rick Mirer. Is this really a Sunday matchup?

I think the Patriots are going to win because Bill Belichek will make Quincy Carter beat them with his arm and he's simply not good enough to do it.

I am about 5 losses away from letting the coin flip decide the rest of the year.

Arizona over Cleveland.
Baltimore over Miami.
Giants over Philly.
Carolina over the Skins.
SD over Den.
GB over TB
NE over Dallas
NO over Atlanta
Houston over Bills
KC over Cincy
Rams over Bears
Colts over Jets
Seattle over Detriot
Vikings over the Raiders
SF over Steelers

Cleveland released Kevin Johnson this week. I wonder how the team will react to having their leading reciever the past few years just dumped in the middle of the season.

Baltimore beat the hell out of the Rams offense last week. They'll shut down the struggling Dolphins easy, but, another day like the last one from Redmon could cost them.

Skins will lose because Davis will kill them. Last week, Spurrier turned over the offensive playcalling to Hue Jackson, and the result was a lot more emphasis on protection in the gameplan. That, and added hot routes for Ramsey when he gets in trouble. Carolina gets so much pressure from their front four, I'm not sure how much blitzing they'll do. But, if they do, don't be surprised if Coles and Gardner put up big numbers. You can pass on the Panthers D.

TB can stop all this talk about being one of the greatest defenses of all time. They may have been, but they ain't right now. Ahman Green will have a good day, and Favre will too. TB's defense doesn't scare QB's as much these days.

Dallas offense is horrible. Patriots can make good offenses look horrible. Bad day for the Tuna.

I woulda picked the Bengals to beat KC had Johnson kept his mouth shut. Someone is gonna beat the Cheifs, and history says that someone is gonna be a team with a very sorry record. Most teams that go this far unbeaten wind up losing to really bad teams. I'm eyeballing that KC/SD game.

My picks for Week 11

Dolphins over the Ravens?
Saints over the Falcons
Eagles over the Giants
Panthers over the Redskins
Bills over the Texans?
Rams over the Bears
Chiefs over the Bengals
Browns over the Cardinals?
Titans over the Jaguars
Colts over the Jets
Broncos over the Chargers?
Seahawks over the Lions
Buccaneers over the Packers?
Vikings over the Raiders
Patriots over the Cowboys

And the 49ers over the Steelers, 21 to 18.

I have a few questions, but I can't shake the feeling that everyone in the NFL is as tired of all the upsets as I am, and that there won't be any upsets at all this week! Call me wierd or something.... :D

edit: Heh, heh. I forgot one game as well!

Yes, how 'bout them Bengals? :D But the real question is Will the Chiefs fold after their first loss like the Vikings did? Its possible, many of their wins have not been so impressive. How dominating were the '73 Dolphins in their perfect season?

By my count, I am 11-5 last week, so things are looking up. I am out of town this week, so here are my picks for week 13:

Green Bay
Dallas
Chicago (they're still the Cards . . . and they're on the road)
Houston
Buffalo
Cincinnati
St. Louis (in a shootout; Minnesota's porous defense will get lit up)
Indianapolis
Carolina
Baltimore
Washington
Seattle
Denver
Kansas City
Tampa Bay
Tennessee

Hope everyone has a Happy Turkey Day!
