I don't know, and that means there's probably some obscure monster in BoED or something that noone cares about.

The Book of Exalted Deeds?
I just checked that, and, honestly, it more covers characters doing righteous deeds than celestial creatures.

Aasimar are technically half-Celestials, just as Tieflings are half-Fiends. There is a template for half-this and half-that, but again I think it is in Manual of the Planes - I'll be able to tell you next week! (Curse those players)

Au contrair, Hairy.

Aasimar & Tieflings are from children or decendents of Half Celestials/Fiends. That is pretty much what multiple sources said. A half-celestial/fiend is actually the direct child of the outsider they come from and their base race.
Tanarukks, for instance, are not half-fiends.
1) They are a few generations removed from those orcs that bred with demons. In addition, they actually bred true amongst each other and with purebred orcs.
2) If you look at the ability modifiers given in Races of Faerun, Tanarukks have a mix of Mountain Orc and Tiefling bonuses and deficiencies. If Tanarukks were half-fiends, they'd likely have +8 Strength, +4 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence, and -2 Wisdom. Instead, they have +4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, -2 Wisdom, and -4 Charisma.
Also, the Half-Fiend and Half-Celestial template entries are in the Monster Manual, along w/ the Aasimar and Tiefling entries. Aasimar & Tiefling are planetouched. According to the planetouched entry...
Planetouched is a general word to describe someone who can trace his or her bloodline back to an outsider, usually a fiend or celestial.
The effects of having a supernatural being in one's heritage last for many generations. Although not as dramatically altered as a half-celestial or half-fiend, planetouched still retain some special qualities.
The two planetouched varieties described here are the most common. Aasimars are humans with some trace of celestial blood in their veins, and tieflings have some fiendishness in their family tree.
Not looking to bust and bones or any such, Hairy. Just giving the facts.

Huh, okay I wasn't aware of that! I've been doing Aasimars and Tieflings as half-ers rather than "touched". Thanks for the update. I don't have the Faerun books (not a world I use) apart from a couple which outline areas I am especially interested in (Serpent/Underdark).

You'll want Magic of Faerûn since it's got the best (and most) cunch (IMO).

Spells, mage-oriented prestige classes, spells, magic items galore, spells, oh, and did I say spells?
It's also get info on a few monsters, templates such as the Magister (read: famous story material from the likes of Ed Greenwood), and on magic in general, such as mage-duels and the nature of the Weave.
And you realized the Planetouched info I came actually came out of the Monster Manual, right?

EVERYTHING.
Just some really good spells, magic items and stuff. And relatively little background.
In which comic does Teagan actually use one of these? I've had a look through the earlier comics, and can't see her using it (admittedly the BG sprites make it hard to see exactly what she *is* using for a weapon...).
She uses a whip-like weapon as a sprite (simply because that's what the female BG drow sprite is armed with). The whip of fangs seemd like a colorful item to give her. But since it's not very effective and would be a pain in the ass to draw I'm probably going to have her weapon choice be something else from now on (any suggestions?).
I wsa thinking the same thing.
Plus, I know her info states that she is evil but so far I don't look at her as actually being evil. Perhaps she has/needs a alignment shift?
She's not at that point yet. But who knows, if current trends continue...
Especially since she seems to be falling for Castor - who, whilst probably not 100% good, is certainly not evil. Hmm, maybe we'll be seeing a breakup of the Shadow Pack in the future... With Teagan joining the good guys? That could be interesting! And the good guys need a cleric, anyway.
Bah! Who needs a cleric when you can flee like a coward from dangerous threats?

I'd likely suggest a dagger, since that is also a common (and less exotic) weapon amongst priestesses.

I'd go for a nice mace.
I can't really picture her with anything else.

Okay, I'll have a look at Magic of Faerun when I'm next in the crack store. My dealer will have several copies there, I'm sure. Haven't really paid much attention to FR stuff, it's not my favourite world, to be honest.
@Kayless
Teagan strikes me as a mace or flail type of cleric. I sometimes think she'd like to hear the bones snapping and the thud or steal against flesh. She's got that look about her... Mmmmm Teagan... <slap> Snap out of it, TGHO!!
And every group needs a cleric. My number one roleplaying rule. And it was may main problem with the Salvatore books, the lack of clerics.
Cheers,
TGHO

How about a can of mace instead?

Alright, this is starting to get a little out of control. Robby, I'd highly suggest re-opening the DCI thread, since this is starting to get too much about DCI and not enough about D&D/FR sourcebooks.

Hey Hairy, did you ever get your Manual of the Planes back? I remember we were talking about the Half-Elemental template about a month ago.
