I think grenadine doesn't have alcohol in it- it is pomagranate-flavored sugar water. It is a mixer, and is what makes the "sunrise" in a tequila sunrise.
yeah, it's pomegranate syrup. I could have sworn the label on the bottle I was reading said something about it being alcoholic. meh.

Tastes good whatever it is. Mmmm.... I have 12 shots of vodka in me.
My bottles of "Rose's Grenadine" are definately non-alcoholic. Cheap too.

What more do you need?
I never cook off of recipes, nor do I ever measure anything. The odds of me remembering how I make anything is slim, especially stuff like barbeque sauce. I don't think I've ever made it the same way twice. One thing I do remember, though, is rosemary. When making a barbeque sauce for chicken, putting rosemary in it really helps.
Being a university student living away from home, I also don't have anything too decent to work with, except when I steal meat from home when I go visit. I made a prime rib roast a while ago, and somehow the fat on it came out like pork rind. Well, I guess beef rind. I was so happy.
I like screwing around with pancakes, though. My one housemate who moved out left behind this massive tub of pancake mix and said I could use it up. Anyway, because I don't have to worry about actually making the batter myself, I can add stuff to the mess. I put orange zest and juice in once, and put cream cheese on the finished product. Tasty stuff. The banana ones didn't cook quite right, though. They were too dense, or something.
Most recently, I thought I'd try making some sort of caramel-coated apple pieces for the pancakes. Having never made caramel before, it didn't turn out quite right. It didn't even turn brown. Regardless, the sugar and water pretty much stewed the apple, so that I ended up with an apple-flavoured clear, colourless thin syrup with chunks of apple in it. It was a very tasty accident. It tasted like those candy apples you get at fairs. If I had left it to cool, it would have probably gotten rock solid, making some kind of apple brittle or apple candy. Hurray!

I'm the same way with cooking, I throw together whatever is available and see how it comes out. Sometimes it's awesome, and occasionally it gets fed to the dogs. Anyways, I try to at least do so and recall to post it for others here. Otherwise, it confuses people. If you find something that works, try recalling what you put in and how much when you do it next and post it.
Poor poor deprived british person. Grenadine is cherry syrup. Peanut butter cups are little disc candies produced by the Reese's corporation. They are peanut butter on the inside, coated in chocolate. If you can't get either, do you have Marischino cherries, and some peanut butter and chocolate chips? It'd be more expensive but it will work.
Edit: I've never had alcoholic grenadine, just cherry flavored syrup mixer.
Awesome. I'll be incapacitated until next month. If you need me, check behind the bar and hand me greasy food to soak up the booze I've been imbibing enough to hold a discussion.

I've been making muffins again.
because my mum's a vegan, I use soya milk and this egg substitute stuff, and for all I know the muffins might be rubbish when non-vegan, but here's the recipe for normal people. if you want to know how to make them vegan, just ask. oh, and a teaspoon's 5ml, in case that's new to you.
makes 9-11 muffins
255g plain flour
3 teaspoons baking powder - (if you're using self-raising flour, only add 1 tsp)
1/2 tsp salt
100g fine white granulated sugar
1 egg
240ml milk
finely grated rind of a lime
90ml vegetable oil (or 85g melted butter, although I haven't tried that yet)
I also added the juice of half a lime. I'd say you'll need the added flavour, but if you have some essence or flavour or something you want to add, go for it.
Preheat oven to 375-400F / 190-200C / Gas Mark 5-6. prepare muffin tins
sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into large bowl.
in another bowl, beat your egg. stir in milk, oil or butter and lime rind (and juice/flavouring if using)
pour all liquid into the dry mixture, and stir until no dry flour is visible (the batter may still be lumpy, but as long as it's mixed thoroughly it'll be fine)
spoon into tins, and bake for 20-25 minutes until tops are lightly browned and spring back when pressed.
optional glaze
85g icing sugar - sifted
3-4tsp lime juice
1/2tsp finely grated lime rind
when muffins come out of the oven, immediately spoon glaze over them.
and there you have it. soft and spongy muffins, nice and sweet, but with a slightly tart aftertaste of limes that lingers in the mouth. if you want more sharpness, simply use less sugar and more lime juice.

Well, I found the cheerleader thing, aha!
I found a new and easy drink mix.
You make a screwdriver, but, you use raspberry vodka instead of normal vodka. It's great! It's kind of like an interesting flavored fruit punch!

Easy drink mix? Easiest and simply greatest one I know of is dark rum and cloudy lemonade
I have no idea why people mix rum and cola, when lemonade perfectly compliments the fruity flavours of rum

Hmmm....never tried rum and lemonade. Vodka and lemonade yes. Good breakfast drink if you aren't into orange juice. I'll have to try that.

How do you normally take rum then? Straight?
For the fruity qualities of rum, while minimizing the alcoholic bite (to a more pleasureable level
) I recommend a fairly simple 1/4 or 1/3 rum, more or less depending on the taste. Make sure you purchase quality
cloudy lemonade, it is more flavoursome. Serve in a chilled glass on ice
.
If you skimp to about 1/5 or less rum, you can't taste the alcoholic bite at all, it actually tastes like Fanta Fruit Twist... so any unwary girls might find themselves getting very drunk and in your arms very quickly
