I know the feeling. I was starting Portis in one of my leagues, and he had a grand total of 9 yards :D

Here are the week 8 results. Note that Weasel did not submit a pick for the KC/SD game so his percentage is calculated on 13 games instead of 14. It's also good to see BS get double-digits in the win column again.

Home Team Wins 11-3 (78.57%)
Jwmblade 11-3 (78.57%)
Weasel 10-3 (76.92%)
Bloodstalker 10-4 (71.43%)
Gwalchmai 10-4 (71.43%)
HLD 10-4 (71.43%)
The Z 9-5 (64.29%)
Tybaltus 9-5 (64.29%)
VoodooDali 9-5 (64.29%)

The overall results are:

Home Team Wins 77-39 (66.38%)
Gwalchmai 74-42 (74.42%)

Jwmblade 69-47 (59.48%)
Weasel 66-48 (57.89%)
The Z 67-49 (57.76%)
VoodooDali 45-38 (54.22%)
Bloodstalker 59-56 (51.30%)

Falcons over Dolphins - Still don't trust the Fins
Panthers over Buccaneers - Panthers are coming on a little
Ravens over Bengals - Ravens looked good on Monday Night, but I'm gambling
Vikings over Lions - Moore will have to be leaned on heavily
Jaguars over Texans - Stroud will crush Carr
Raiders over Chiefs - Just a hunch
Chargers over Jets - LT will run, throw, and catch a TD :D
Titans over Browns - Despite injuries, Titans still have the guns to beat Cleveland
Bears over Saints - Saints are a mess
Giants over 49ers - Manning is way ahead of Simms
Seahawks over Cardinals - Alexander owns the Cards
Packers over Steelers - Do you believe in miracles? No Big Ben too.
Redskins over Eagles - Until Philly's not one-dimensional, they'll have trouble
Colts over Patriots - I think it's Peyton's time to finally win in New England
I know the feeling. I was starting Portis in one of my leagues, and he had a grand total of 9 yards
I'm glad I have Portis and Favre in different leagues after last week :D

I'm picking an awful lot of road games this week; I hope that works out for me, especially considering that home teams are 66% this year. We'll see how this worked out for me on Tuesday.

Falcons over Miami- Falcons are just better
Panthers over TB- Panthers one of the NFC's top two teams
Bengals over Ravens- Bengals are on the rise, Raven have sunk
Vikings over Lions- Brad Johnson is better than Harrington.
Jags over Texans- Poor Carr and his medical bills
KC over Oakland- KC at home...tough to beat
Chargers over Jets- Jets have way too many issues to go into
Titans over Browns- browns just suck
Saints over Bears- Bears have a winning record. This cannot last. It is the Law
Giants over SF- Although it would be funny to complete the threeway thing between them, the Skins, and the Niners by the Giants losing this one
Seahawks over Cards- Cards are still the Cards
Steelers over Packers- No Ben, no Bettis, who cares?
Skins over Eagles- T.O. is hurt, he practices, he blows up on his team, who knows if he plays or not? The real issue is McNabb and the Madden cover curse this year.
Colts over Pats- This has to be their time...right? *nervous throat clearing*

I hope the Ravens and Packers win. :D

I know they won't though, so I have no idea why I'm picking them.

Re Madden Cover: Poor McNabb, he's going to need to spend the offseason in a hospital with Carr.

Sorry I'm late today, guys; I had to swap out a hard drive.

We have two new prognosticators, RandomThug and Hill-Shatar; welcome to the pool. Our good friend, Home Teams Wins, too quite a beating this week while Gwalchmai, Tybaltus and Weasel all flirted with 14 game prognosticating perfection and everyone else finished with double digits in the wins column.

In other news, all four of my fantasy football teams went undefeated, in no small part due to LaDanian Tomlinson's four rushing TDs.

The results for this week are:

Gwalchmai 13-1 (92.86%)
Tybaltus 13-1 (92.86%)
Weasel 13-1 (92.86%)
Hill-Shatar 12-1 (92.31%)
Bloodstalker 12-2 (85.71%)
HLD 12-2 (85.71%)
RandomThug 11-3 (78.57%)
Jwmblade 10-4 (71.43%)
The Z 10-4 (71.43%)
VoodooDali 10-4 (71.43%)
Home Team Wins 5-9 (35.71%)

Hill-Shatar did not submit a pick for the CHI/NO game, so his percentage is calculated based on 13 games instead of 14.

The cumulative resultsa are:

Hill-Shatar 12-1 (92.31%)
RandomThug 11-3 (78.57%)
Gwalchmai 87-43 (66.92%)
HLD 84-46 (64.62%)
Tybaltus 84-46 (64.62%)
Home Team Wins 82-48 (63.08%)
Weasel 79-49 (61.72%)
Jwmblade 79-51 (60.77%)
The Z 77-53 (59.23%)
VoodooDali 55-42 (56.70%)
Bloodstalker 71-58 (55.04%)

We still have two people on the inactive list.

ch85us2001 28-18 (60.87%)
Kipi 9-7 (56.25%)

The games for next week are:

Arizona at Detroit
Baltimore at Jacksonville
Houston at Indianapolis
Kansas City at Buffalo
Minnesota at N.Y. Giants
New England at Miami
San Francisco at Chicago
Denver at Oakland
N.Y. Jets at Carolina
Green Bay at Atlanta
St. Louis at Seattle
Washington at Tampa Bay
Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Dallas at Philadelphia

I heard the same story. I think they're going to be my co-Cheerleaders of the Week (and if I get a video of what precipitated their altercation, they may be the co-Cheerleaders of the Year).

Cardinals over Lions - I don't trust Harrington
Jaguars over Ravens - Jags have an O, Baltimore doesn't
Colts over Texans - Unless hell freezes over
Bills over Chiefs - Bills have a tougher D than Oakland + homefield
Giants over Vikings - Eli and Plaxico will torch Minnesota's secondary
Patriots over Dolphins - Ronnie and Ricky won't be enough
Bears over 49ers - Bears are coming on a little here
Raiders over Broncos - My gamble of the week
Panthers over Jets - Carolina is one of NFC's best, NYJ is one of AFC's worst
Falcons over Packers - This has been a year from hell for Green Bay
Seahawks over Rams - I believe in Seattle's hype
Redskins over Buccaneers - Tampa's falling apart a little
Steelers over Browns - No contest here
Cowboys over Eagles - Philly's too one-dimensional to win tight games

Arizona at Detroit
Baltimore at Jacksonville
Houston at Indianapolis
Kansas City at Buffalo
Minnesota at N.Y. Giants
New England at Miami
San Francisco at Chicago
Denver at Oakland
N.Y. Jets at Carolina
Green Bay at Atlanta
St. Louis at Seattle
Washington at Tampa Bay
Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Dallas at Philadelphia

Arizona/Detroit, someone has to win.

I think the home teams are going to do well this week.

Lots of teams are positioning themselves for the playoffs, either to solidify their leads (Indianapolis, Denver, St. Louis and Chicago), make a run (Dallas, Washington, Kansas City) or try to keep up (Jacksonville, Tampa Bay).

There are lots of tight divisions (AFC North, AFC West, NFC South and NFC East, which right now is the most competitive division in football).

It looks like this year, the AFC East, long the strongest in the league, is the one division where the winner will back into the playoffs.

What's happened to Tampa Bay lately? Are they imploding or did they just hit a speed bump?

The Steelers can't be feeling too comfortable right now. They're half a game behind the idle Bengals, and Cincinnati is a scrappy team that scores a lot on offense and is always around the ball on defense. Now is not a good time for them to be without their starting QB.

I'm not surprised at how badly the Pats have struggled. On top of the injuries, the league has saddled them with a killer schedule. It's like Tagliabue doens't want them to three-peat.

I reserve the right to change my Dallas/Philadelphia pick between now and Monday afternoon.

Cards over Lions- not that anyone will care
jags over Ravens- There must only be one team allowed to be good in the D.C.-MD area at a time
Texans over Colts- Don't look at me like that. Either the Texans or the Cards will beat the colts this year. Sucky teams always take out the last unbeaten team.
KC over Buffalo- Johnson, Priest....they are interchangable
Giants over Vikings- Giants always owned the Vikes when the records were reversed....hopefully the trend doesn't reverse,,,
Pats over Dolphins- Brady calling his team out is a good thing
bears over Niners- They still finish 8-8 though
Panthers over Jets- Panthers gathering steam at the right time of the year
Falcons over Packers- Packers looking to lock up that number one pick
Rams over Seahawks- Rams run the ball since Martz left. Rams also need this game more
Skins over Bucs- could TB ever really run the ball, or was it a product of a weak first month schedule?
Steelers over Browns- Steelers just win
Eagles over Cowboys- Philly IS better off without TO. Eagles went to three straigher NFC title games without him, and went to the SB without him last year in the playoffs. This is a pride game for Philly, and they will find a way to win it.
