"Of course its against your better judgement, everything I every think off is always against your better judgement" rolling his eyes, he marched forward angrily

"I just don't want you putting your personal gain in front of every...wait, do you see that?" Sh'rarn points to the smoke in the sky.

One of the dwarves looks around and follows Sh'rarn's gaze. "The wagons are in tha' direction!" Alerting his companions, they ran off in that direction.

Looking surprised, as if Sh'rarn had just seen through his intentions "Personal gain?! what per...." he looked up, and started running with his small companions, grunting half as much as he used to about the weight something horrible had happened

Sh'rarn follows.

You all enter the encampment to find the remains of a circle of wagons, some still burning, others charred and blackened by fire.

Do you wish to search the camp? (roll Search and Spot if you do)

"oh man, no this can't be" said Kazar slowly. "Lets search the camp, and then ask the mourning dwarfs on where we may find the evildoers"

((what is the roll for search and spot?))

Searching around the camp you find a lot of charred wood, some unfortunate and very dead dwarves...and a note pinned to the remains of a door by a stiletto.
The note is written in no language you recognise.

Kicking at the wood, he spotted the note, nothing he could recognise he called Sh'rarn over in a panic

"What? What is it?" Sh'rarn spotted the note and glanced over it. "I take it you can't read this either? I don't think the dwarves would recognise this either. We may even have to take it back to the city to get a translation. I'm just reluctant to abandon these dwarves in the short term they could be attacked again. What do you want to do?"

"I think we should stay with them, perhaps let them recupirate and send for some help, when they feel better, more safe and if were lucky the attacker might return and then we could interrogate him" It all seemed so simple

"We're not very well prepared for a fight though after that fight with the goblins. And if the people who attacked here are able to kill this many and get away without losses, then it shows their power...though I guess they could have taken their fallen with them." Sh'rarn handed the note to Rugnar, now the unofficial leader of the Dwarves here. Unsurprisingly, the dwarf was also unable to recognise the writing but decided on sending a messenger back to the city to try and get it identified. Sh'rarn also asked that Kron, Sess and Halgrath be informed of these events, perhaps they could be of assistance here. Rugnar nodded and the message along with the note was given to one of the faster dwarves...who apperently didn't grumble the whole time whenever going somewhere. Of course, it would take some time for the messenger to get to the city and organise help to return.

"Well if we make ourselves scarce. Quiet and keep ourselves to either the trees or well built up wrecks, we shouldn't attract too much attention." he sighed, the situation looked grim,

"That's true. Let's find somewhere defensible." Walking around the wagons and the nearby area, Sh'rarn suddenly stumbled. Looking back to see what he tripped over, he sees a mound, marked with a familiar red and green insignia.

He followed Sh'rarn and then as surprised as Sh'rarn was, his face turned a slight shade of white. "but, but, thats the same thing as" he scrambled around his pockets and then pulled out the insignia "does that mean the goblins attacked this area?"

"Could be that, though it takes a lot of goblins to take out an entrenched dwarven camp. Maybe these goblins are more organised than they look..."

"Perhaps they are getting outside help?" he thought temporarily. "I think we should try and research some more information about this particular clan of goblins see if that yields any information"

"Where would you research? We are in the middle of the wilderness and neither of us are trackers..."

"Well if you think about it, the dwarves should know something about it, as this clan is obviously local to them." He nodded at their small group huddled at the corner of the wagon

Sh'rarn nodded. "Fair enough" gesturing to where the dwarves sat "have at it."

Feeling the rise of embarrasement encloaking him, he nodded slightly and then move over to the dwarves "Listen to me, have you ever seen, heard about a goblin tribe bearing this insignia?"
