But I for myself would say nay to a nice title as "Brat Prince", "Sucker" or "Twisted Sister" of course. :D
Yeah, and nothing with Vampires or Undead. That's so cliché.
Actually I just don't like it cause I'm too boring to make up a title for myself.
In that case, that's what we are all here for :p :D

@Fiberfar,
I think that makes sense. And given that people generally respect those rules in their sigs and locations, I don't really think it would be a problem.
Okay, so I'm optimistic :D

@Lestat, even if it's cliché, I think "Brat Prince," would be most apt :D

i think titles should be connected to your name in some way... explaining what your name means or say something about you (hobbies, profession etc.)

eg. mine would be "lord of the tuxedo-birds."

So since my avatar is a photoshopped and colored version of the shark tattoo on my shoulder, and my name is from a villain I thought was cool in Might and Magic 4: Clouds of Xeen, what would my title be?

depends on the villains role... like was he a theif.. a warlock... a whatsamajiggy or whatever...

Selachic Marauder.
Selachic Marauder.
I have no idea what that means (well I know what Marauder means). Google only had 1 response for selachic and it wasn't very helpful.

i don't know much about Magic: The Gathering...
maybe Selachic is Darzogs species? he doesn't sound human

Truthfully, I don't think titles should be tied to one's ava, location, sig etc. That makes it all too packaged, not to mention restrictive.
That's only my opinion though ;)

My sig, location, ava and title all have personal meaning, but they aren't necessarily related to one another. And I don't think they should have to be.

I agree. My avatar would either give me: Old man on bike (Magrus' description) or Crazy guy. Neither of those describes me or my character very much. (I'm crazy, true. But I'm not an old man on bike) :D

It's not Magic: The Gathering, it's Might and Magic 4, an old PC game from 10 years back or so. But I still have no idea what it means.

What about "Guy who really needs to get to a bathroom, on a bike"?

Selachiformes: sharks.

I just searched... selachian is the correct word. Sorry-O.

OK, that makes sense. And just as a reference, here's the original before photoshopping.
I need to get to a bathroom?
That avatar sure looks like it to me!
So, Xandax, do we have your blessing?
You neither need my endorsment nor blessing, you need Bucks.
I'll argue my "case" before Buck if he asks about my (our) opinion, which is basically that I don't care. As DW sais, completely custom titles will simply be another "avatar, location, signature"-thing.

I will however, do my best - again if asked - to keep custom titles away from post-counts, because I feel (and see) such a thing promote post-farming.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already but here goes...
What about giving the option to change names at what is currently the level a Member becomes an Exalted Member? It might distinguish a little between those people who have some more experience with GB and those who don't and wouldn't hopefully increase postfarming, if someone starts posting for the sake of posting just to reach 50 posts (or whatever the current Exalted member mark is) then the mods do as they would normally. :p
And hide the post-count in addition to that perhaps.
