I'll post my question here. I'm making a logo for a robotics-related company. So far, I have a robot hand, and I want to have it holding something... I'm just not sure what it should hold. Any ideas?

A cup as in cupholder.

It's not very... professional.:laugh:

Any more info on the company you can share? Depending on the slant of the company it could be lots of things:

- remote control (controlling another robot)
- a flower (robots with feelings / environmentally friendly)
- an image of their previous logo or a small logo with company initials or something

It all depends what the robots are used for what would make the most sense.

Well, it's for my BOM assignment. We have to market a product (automatic vacuum cleaner is what I've chosen), but a company needs to exist, hence the logo. The arm is coming out of the Q (I've called it Quasi Logic: partly because it sounded good, partly because I wanted a O in the first letter, and O had nothing), but the hand is empty.

And my partner for it has degenerated into not making any sense.

Well if it's a vacuum cleaner it could be holding a trash can, a dust pan, lifting a piece of furniture out of the way of the vacuum, picking up a kitten (making way for the vacuum), it could be protecting a tiny house from dirt/dust. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

BTW, what's BOM, Basics of Marketing?

I don't want to be rude but I'd suggest you to do your assingments yourself.

And well, we have to try and keep it independant of the product, afterall, one of the 'strengths' of how we're doing this is that it allows us to expand bla bla bla, stuff written in because it gets a tick.

So it's kinda generalised, which is the problem, because I don't know what robots like to hold.

Well, it's the logo, so it's not really part of the assignment. And I was just looking for suggestions, I am doing the assignment by myself (well, with partner too).
