Maybe setting a deadline for the votes would help.
When does the voting stop?

Another thing people need to be reminded of is that their nominations and final votes are not the same thing. I had this problem last year because everyone thought they had already voted by just sending in their nominations.

The deadline is the end of this month. This means that those votes sent BEFORE 28.2.2007 23.59 GMT +2 are calculated, but if it's sent later then it's not counted...

Oh, and as DW already said, nominations aren't calculated as votes, so if you have only nominated you need to send your votes as well if you want your opinion to be counted...

A) Not voting. Not shy, I just don't know anybody here well enough. I appear to have stumbled in at the Wrong Time.

B) URK! What convention is that? (Not a complaint - it's my job to know such things, and as I've never seen that before, I feel somewhat negligent in my duties - I thought I knew every way of telling time this side of Mayan.) ISO Standard: 2007-02-28 21:59 Zulu (GMT), for the rest of us. For us in N. Am. that are *ahem* somewhat less than fluent in time, that would be February 28, 2007, 3:59 PM CST. Hey. The world is round. I didn't make it.

For those of us not on The Continent, be sure to cast your lots early. If you live in Singapore, well - you figure it out, but I make that about 2007-03-01 06:59 LT, or thereabouts, but don't quote me on that. Hawaii - you're on your own.

Meh, it's for me muc easier to determine if the votes has come before the deadline this way...

And if anyone leaves it to the very last moment, then that person deserves to convert the deadline to his/her own time...

Well for this country and I wager a number of other European ones, the most common date format is day-month-year

Actually, here in N. Am, The Americans and Canadians reverse the order of day/month - by convention. Canadians do M-D-Y, Americans D-M-Y. That's why I always favored ISO standard: Y-M-D. That and it sorts canonically.
