Franzi Ferdinand? Kelly Baah? Queen?
Decided to give this thread a friendly bump because I hadn't replied here yet, and because it seems like the delivery party appears to start somewhere soon (or is perhaps going on right now as I'm typing this). What was it, around the break of June to July, right?
I'm afraid that I do not have many other (fun) names to suggest, my knowledge of the Swedish language is sadly a bit too lacking... But I'm guessing that the two crime fighters in question probably aren't seriously considering to pick one of the names from this thread, and are creative enough to find a suitable name themselves
. Also, you two might want to consider the situation in the future where your child has just asked how the heck did she got her crazy name, and you're both trying to have the
other explain, instead of
you having to start mumbling something about forums and "a man named Fable"... Hmm?:mischief:
One thing I
can offer however is how to
not name the offspring. For your service, I have listed a few names below that are already taken by celebrities, and therefor if you decide to take one of these, the famous people will fly their private jets to Sweden, sue you for theft and take away your sauna. So, do
not,
under any circumstances, pick:
Fifi Trixibelle
Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily
Pixie Frou-Frou
Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa
Apple
Bluebell Madonna
Tu
(with 'Morrow' as the last name)
Moon Unit
And in case you're ever having a son, don't name him Pilot Inspektor. That one's taken by Jason Lee's son.:mischief:
Hopefully thinking of these names will bring you two some fun during the delivery when the one person is about to faint and the other person is trying to push a melon through a key hole. Or that kind of child abuse will make you cry at that moment, but then you will always still have the bright prospect of a delivery being over soon.
It may be a tad late, but congratulations with the pregnancy, anyway! I wish you two many joy with the coming of your baby.

Nice, both Geldoff and Zappa on that list
Wonder if they've settled on one of the names presented here?

Given your appreciation for D!ck Cheney, how about calling the child "Bump?" Or even drempel, which sounds positively Tolkienesque. Though it is Dutch.

"Alas, my fellow scientists, it seems that the experiment we were steering towards has been delayed by the will of persons in rank much higher than us. But fear not! For I am Drempel the White Scientist, leader of the white coates and protector of the laboratories, and I will not stand by while this injustice raves on! To the storage room, my comrades! Get everything you need and hurry back here as fast as you can! I fear that battle will be upon us before the coffee break is over..."
Hmm, yeah, definitely a bit Tolkienesque, I see what you mean there.
That name might raise a few eyebrows though when coming to The Netherlands

Wow. Any day now, eh? Amazing what you see when you finally duck your head in after an extended absence. Since I'm here I'll throw out the name: Montana Helena Handbasket.
Congratulations, by the way. Best wishes to the soon to be parents.

Heya Ned!!!
Oh, if it's a boy, why not name hi as Fable?
History lessons would be much ore fun then:
Teacher: "Now we are talking about ancient gods. First, we shall talk about Fable: "Me? Well, I was born 2007, and I didn't know I'm worshipped..."

Tandoor works well as a middle name, too.
But since the child will be a girl, consider Mistress-of-Darkness. It has a certain romantic flare, and if abbreviated, would lead to people addressing her as "Mistress."
Come to think of it, as many people here already address DW that way, it might lead to some confusion. Nevermind.

You know, it's an awfully long time since anyone around here has addressed me as "Mistress." Besides, unless CE and Silur are planning to have their small progeny tapping away at the keyboard from the first moment of hatching, I doubt there'll be any confusion
How about... "Mistress of the Velvet Fang?"
That has a certain ring to it as well
