@SS: You are correct. Buth then, the Klingon language and spelling is quite odd. For instances, their homeworld is Qo'nos, but is pronouced Cronos. It's weird... And before I get mocked for being a Trekkie, Klingon is a noted langauge, and is being taught to language majors in some countires, so :p

Kori, not Cory or Kory or Cori or anything else, KORI! And it's not Japanese. Someone put my name in a Japanese dictionary and it just happens to mean foxes and badgers (supposedly.) In another language base it means girl. (No comments from SS please.) However, I prefer it this way--my parents 'created' it using the K from my uncle Kevin's name and -ori from my aunt Lori's name. :)

Really? I'll have to take that class someday. I'm working on being able to say "I do not speak <insert language being spoken here>" in each language. So far, I have "I don't speak English" and "Je ne parle pas français." :D

Yeah, spelling in the Klingon language is odd, but Klingons are a little odd themselves, in a cool sorta way.

Definitely not the spelling to use when naming a boy, ne? *giggles*

@SS: I think if you go to the site www.kli.org it teaches you hard to speak Klignon.

I have a Klingon Language Lab program and a Klingon-English/English-Klingon dictionary. I've just been too lazy to do anything with'em. :o

Seeing someone give their "real" name online is like watching someone expose himself. Fun thread.

This is a lot of discussion about names. :D Figure I might as well tell everyone mine. Have fun making fun of it if you wish. ;)

Doesn't get much more plain, eh?

I have one of those Klingon language tapes. I also have a genuine Dak’tagh (those knives with the retractable crossguard ;) ). Oh, the Klingon language has 80 poly guttural dialects constructed on an adaptive syntax (anyone else catch the Enterprise premiere?).

<STRONG>Emperor of the Klingons, ne? I don't think Kayless is the correct spelling. I think it is Kehless, but I am not positive on this. Nathan is a cool name, though. </STRONG>
It’s spelled Kahless. Though I am a die-hard Klingon fan, my alternate spelling is actually from a character in a short story I once wrote. I adapted it from the Greek/Latin name Kay (which has English/Welsh ethnic connections), which means: One with merriment; rejoicing. Then I added less to it (self-explanatory meaning) to apply to someone who was somber and grim (Kay-less). It suited the character quite well and I also think it looks better spelled with a Y instead of an H. So basically I'm indulging two eccentricities with one stone. :D

Nathan, eh? Long form, I suppose that translates into Nathaniel. I never would have guessed the Emperor of the Klingons would have such a name so... unassuming. :) </STRONG>
Yes, but it’s the one’s who are least assuming that are the most dangerous. Image I count myself fortune though. If my father had gotten his way, my siblings and I would all be named Wolfgang. :)

@Kayless: I cought it. It's really different from the others, eh? Still pretty good. The Enterprise in this one looks like an Akira was taken, and had it's naecels flipped though. Oh well... We'll see how it does.
