BTW, I love Forever Young by Alphaville. Just loved the intros to begin with. :)
I liked their song Big in Japan. Ive got it on video tape. I found it somewhat surprising Alphaville had such limited success. Ive heard Forever Young by Alphaville once, but it didnt stick out in my mind as much as Big in Japan did. Maybe if I heard Forever Young again, it would stick out more. Sometimes I have to hear a song a few times before I really become attached to it.

Good to know I caught their only good song. :D Hmmm...I know there are plenty more hair metal bands we have yet to mention on the forum. :D

Here you go, Mah.

"Forever Young" -Alphaville

Let's start in style, let's dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?

Let us stay young or let us live forever
We don't have the power, but we never say never
Sitting in the sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sadman

Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn out all the faces into the sun
Praising our leaders, we're getting in tune
The music's played by the madman

Forever Young
I want to be Forever Young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever, you'll never
Forever Young,

I want to be Forever Young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever Young.

Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
Why don't they stay young?

It's so hard to get old without a cause
I don't want to perish like a fading horse
Years like diamonds in the sun
And diamonds are forever

So many advantages given up today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
Oh let it come true

...at least for a significant number of Filipnos during my time when we were teens in the 80's.

I think Askal belongs to the same generation. I don't know though if he digs New Wave Music.

I'm kinda surprised that you don't know The Care (songs like Flaming Sword, My Boyish Days and Whatever Possess You). Maybe they are just too underground for mainstream Euro Rock.

Well Askal is in the same group as Lintelyg, and they said they were forming a punk band, so I dunno. Unless it resembles Generation X, The Ramones, Billy Idol, or Sigue Sigue Sputnik, I probably wont recognize it, if its punk that is. :D

Ah thats right. You asked me once about a number of bands, like General Public, The Care, among a couple others. Was Alphaville the group I said rang a bell but I wasnt sure of? If so, the reason was, I heard the song "Big in Japan" a while ago, but it wasnt until recently that I caught it on video tape. As far as General Public, thats a good band. Ive heard a couple of their songs ("Tenderness", and their self titled song, "General Public" ) and both are quite good.

But The Care....no...it really doesnt stick out in my mind, and those songs look brand new to me. What are other groups that followed Euro Rock?
