Bought PoR....installed.....hit play....and my computer re-started. tripped out majorly. got patch, ran in compatability mode, got to main menu. click anything there, game crawls to a standstill, can't even start a game.

So, after two days, I can finally see the main menu.

*And they ask me why I drink*

@BS yeah, like that is why you drink... I think we all know better than that

Well, if you don't buy that excuse I can come up with more....umm....

Considering I'm new to this whole "trustworthy thing, and especially that I'm learning from you, I think it was quite a good first try. I'd even venture to say that it proves your untrustworthiness, as for all you knew Dottie could have eaten that cake.

@DW-True, I can't have my cake and eat it too, but as I believe I have recently proven it is possible to have my cake and eat Dottie's instead.

@Dottie-I've more or less learnt what there is to learn, and now it's just a case of fine-tuning it. Thanks for trying to help, though.

What's up with PoR?

I am - how are you?

PoR.....well, after 3 days, I can now sit and stare at the menu screen. And it took some doing to get that far.

Now, everytime I click to anything(options, new game) the thing freezes to a crawl and I have to close it out with task manager, which says my cpu usage is 100%

Other than that, I am fine, just parched.

Did you patch the game? It is very buggy. I got it for Christmas, and not realising there is an install patch installed it It corrupted my hard drive

Over a Bank Holiday too! A week later when my pc was back up and running, I patched the install only to find the game is a system hog and quite boring too

I got the latest patch, and it quit re-starting my system everytime I hit play. Do you mean to say you have to nstall the game with the 1st patch?

As for the bar wench, well, I don't see one. help yourself.

Yes, the game was known to corrupt on installation! There is the first patch that you have to download before installing the game, and it runs in the background during installation. I will say though, if your install completed then you must have had a bug free copy in that regard. My install used to crash the whole system corrupting on it's way out.
