If Thantor's genes were entirely recessive, then his wife must be a stunning beauty, and it's not likely that a very beautiful woman would pick a hunchback, green-skinned teethless mate. On the contrary, cross-cultural studies where people rate the attractiveness of persons, show that a vast majority of people pick mates that are similar to themselves in rated attractiviey.
