Yep, he gets paid to study Aeronautical engineering at the University of NSW. Everything else, accomodation, food etc are all covered by tax payers money. They only take the best, plus he has a very good job waiting for him when he finishes. Yep, the ADFA guys all get paid to study, well thats what I know of.

Yeah thats the big catch, he has to do the basic training and the extra survival training in different environments if he is going to become a pilot.

I can see some people joining up so they can fire a weapon.
A couple of friends joined the Cadets and said firing a Styer (sp?) was their highlight.
