I have read that phrase before on this board. What does it mean to americans? It has always been said with a kind of ......disapproving? .....tone. Or so it seems to me. Why is that? What is wrong with pleasing people?
it could be good or bad...mainly its bad because the person only pleases everyone regardless of what the person does or want. its in the extreme catigory.....on one side you have that person who hates everyone and the other is the people pleasers...and in the middle is everyone else...no one likes people pleasers because they do it with really considering what they want they try to please everyone...not sure if its becuase they really want to or if its a special type of condition.....then you just have the saying "people pleaser which I used for mag....pretty much just teasing him.... ;)

Why?

@ Slade, Oh, I hate just about everyone. I just enjoy pleasing women. Both cause trouble quite often. :(

@ Slade. That is different from what Athena said. Is it different in different parts of the US?

No, slade said it better. It's what I meant that he said. Thanks slade. :)
(I meant headbut as in teasing)
Why?
I went in early to school today, to finish a project, and Lina and Zoe were there working on a project too so I went over to sit with them... I start working and Lennon-Hair comes over and sits my me, and he says, "Nice shirt" because I'm wearing the Beatles one. I'm feeling all happy and stuff.

My friend Brooklyn, who was also there, asked for help on a question, so I went over to help her, then I went back to my seat, and Lennon-Hair just got up and left sorta... to talk to Chris who had come in the school. I'm just like... "Bye...?"

Then later I asked Chris if Lennon-Hair liked Lina and he said he didn't know, but Chris said that Lennon-Hair thought that Lina was hot. :(

Slade, that's reassuring sweetie. :)
OS, uh-oh! You missed your chance to flirt with him today!

Thanks both. So headbut does not mean headbut. This is all very difficult. :p

@ Kitten, You should try to be assertive. A young male coming into a girl who knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to tell him so, that will most likely throw him off guard and be something new and exciting for him.

About him thinking your friend is hot...well...thats kinda crappy for you. :( Sorry to hear that. Hopefully the kid has a brain and is looking to use it.

What chance? :( There's not a chance, assuming he really does like my friend, who's turning more into a little prissy girl everyday.

I dunno. Might as well give up.

You should've asked Chris if Lennon-Hair likes you. :p You aren't trying to hook them up, silly. At least he knows you're helpful, and he sat next to you and said hi!! He must like you. And quit beating around the bush!

He might have just came and sat down because Lina was there. :(

OS, Why not just talk to him? It can't do any harm at all. He might even be interesting
