[QUOTE=The Z]Oh dear God, what have I done?
@Mag...Embarassingly enough, no.

Hehehe, those two fit so well.
You two need help in what comes through the portal?

if you need help, Blade can hitch a ride with Snirf (still sounds like the guy from thundercats lol)

Ha, that it does. I was thinking more along the lines of coming up with whats going on in their story than involving my character though. If they need help coming up with a monster or something like that, I could dig for something.

I think I should stop saying things before someone staples my mouth shut
Well, Setanta was on his way towards us, so I think sooner or later, if Snirf looks for him he'll stumble upon our little confrontation.
@Aegis...take your time, it's not like I'm going anywhere. If you want me to post something, I can, but I don't exactly have any ideas for this portal thingy either. We could always have a tribe of rabid gnomes come out of it
EDIT - just saw your post Mag, if you got any ideas, they'd be greatly appreciated.

Really nice posts guys
Of course, I'm slowly winding down for the night, so I'll no doubt end up dreaming about a very strange cast of characters

Heh, I need to watch what I say more often too.
How about tossing a Marilith through the portal? I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with what they are, but... 6 armed Demoness fighter, maybe 2 would force everyone in the room to group together to survive don't you think?
A link for some stats if your interested in seeing a description and such for them.

Aegis will probably write the next post so we'd have to wait and see what he says, but that could work. They seem to have a helluva lot of HP and deal out a lot of damage though. I don't think any ordinary adventurer could tangle with them, they seem really tough.
I'm starting to realize how illogical it is for a little girl to be able to gate things in though. It's going to be really hard to figure out a feasible reason.
That'll be for tomorrow though, I'm off to bed.

*shrugs* These weren't beginning character's, but epic type ones. Thats was made plain in the beginning of things. Besides, a weak adversary wouldn't be enough to overcome the animosity between Erudish, Aegis and Gypsy. Something life-threatening, for all of them would do just that and make them work together. Working together, they could kill it, if not, they'd be in serious trouble. Just a thought to throw out.

You're totally right. It'd be good to have someone to vouch for Erudish when they tangle with the rest of the party. Whatever comes out would definitely have to be something amazing.
Uggh...I'm too tired to think anymore though, I'm off to bed.

Heh, goodnight then.
I was just thinking, the way I discussed approximate level and such of her character, and did mine. My character could lay waste to most towns, so long as no one touched him. That's his downfall, he's simply not built for true combat. If he avoids getting hurt, and anything immune to fire, he's incredible. Being thrust into a melee situation, he's a dead man.
Three fighter types, even half my character's strength should be able to deal with one of those with a struggle. If everyone was built along the same lines as I did, they should lay waste to it together.
All in all, you know your characters and can decide what happens, but forcing them to work for survival in some manner is the best way IMO to get them to become allies, even if they aren't ending up as friends right away.

Just a thought, if you do decide to bring a demon through that portal...
Have we decided the cause behind this orc situation? Or behind these "black orcs"? A thought came to mind of some demon lord influencing all of this, and this demon coming through the portal may know of it and provide some information as to what's causing all of this havoc.
Erudish might not relish his cause so much knowing he's been manipulated to be the pawn of a demon lord, and turn his back on things once its discovered who he's truly been working for. Instead, lashing out at the demon and swearing vengeance on his former anonymous employer.
Thoughts?

@ Magrus,
that sounds like an intriguing thought to me.
One question I would have, though, would be the motivation behind the demon lord's actions.
We could go for the standard power struggle between dark and light, but if it were possible, it might be fun to come up with something a bit unexpected, or maybe a twist of some kind. No ideas yet, however, not enough coffee

Maybe he's using the axe to find a shell to carry his body in the 'mortal' plane so that he can get out of the Blood Wars (kinda like PS:T)? What that has to do with raising an army I don't know, I'm not exactly an expert on any of those sorts of topics, but that's definitely a grey area reason IMO.
The army could be looking to find the right 'shell' for him though. By invading Tethyr/Amn, there's going to be plenty of adventurers who are going to investigate and one of them might have the body that the demon's looking for so he can escape.

Well, that's a bit too typical of light vs. dark. As you've seen, DF's do thingsthe convulated way
