build academies?

think the best thing, since the jedi and sith on both side have collapsed, is that u have to rebuild them so u can go againist the new sith. you choose what planet u want to be based on, what type of people u want to be part of ure army againist the enemy, who do u want to teach and train them, ureself or do u want old characters like Atton and handmaiden, or hanharr and mandalore. so u rebuild one of the orders, do u want the return of the jedi or sith, u go to different planets, using diplomacy and aggression to get the galaxy prepared

Looks to me like this is your first post, so welcome to Gamebanshee

i like the idea you've got here, but my only problem with it is that it seems like it could take a long time to complete, when we should be going to the Unknown Regions to find Revan and battle the true Sith.

if this idea were to be in the game, though, i'd want to finally be THE master, not the apprentice (not like Exile who was both), but your apprentice has an unusually strong command of the Force, even amongst Force Sensitives, and as a result, he instinctually uses an unheard of power against you during lightsaber combat training. So while you train him and send him to do various quests or whatever, you try to learn this power. maybe this power can even help against the true Sith.

personally, i think i would want my academy on Nar Shadaa if it makes a return to the game. think about it, so many people there for the trainees to help or slaughter

It could include a more complex version of the influence system, too. You have to persuade him to follow you to either the light or dark side, but if he gets annoyed at you he eventually leaves the party. And so one of the aims of the game is to keep him in your party as long as possible. At the end of the game, you have to show down against him - a bit like Obi Wan versus Anakin.

Darth Valthri likes just get a better voice actor for the job, PLEASE... and on the topic of influence, i still REALLY hope that the characters' behaviors will actually change depending on their alignment (so Baodur as an example. get enough influence with him, he actually begins to like killing innocents.

Oh wow, I love that idea! Training in a more complex sense, cause TSL had it going on, they just didn't delve into it enough. Though I loved turning them into Jedi, it was fun. We just didn't get to train them in combat, etc. Like in the amazing cutscene in KOTOR.

I would like to have a more varied option to free roam so that you could free roam and finish off all uncompleted side quests. ALso, I like the idea that you could set up a base and the political side to it. But if it were to be like that I would like the option to appoint someone to take control so that I wouldn't have to journey to it after every other mission to make sure it hasn't gone down the toilet. Kinda like oblivion with the fighters guild but more in depth than telling something what to do and I think it would be great that which person you chose to take over your base could effect what happens like if you chose someone who really didnt like you he might be able to turn everyone there against you so that you have to try and kill him and try to retake the base

so i came up with another idea, for some reason while trying to sleep. personally, i think the idea is great. i think that if you train your party members to become Jedi/Sith, then they should be able to teach you (and you can teach them) powers that you or they don't have. so say Atton came back and you had Force Storm and he didn't. you can train him to use Force Storm.
now obviously the loop hole is that you could get all the powers by having everyone select different powers, so i'm thinking that the effectiveness of the power is cut down based on your influence level with the NPC. very high influence results in 100% effective, mid-high is 75% effective, mid-low is 50%, and very low is 25% effective. maybe the percentages can get changed a bit, but the general idea is there.

i want to play as a a character regected both by the sith and by the republic for example he was an opperative for the republic but was found to be strong in the force so he became a jedi then he did something so unforgivable that even the jedi council regected him in which you were taken in by the sith but then you couldnt live up to their standards so that you explelled by them and were now an enemie of both side see id find that kool and your only reffuge would be the people of the slums and so forth in which you slowly work your way back up to either be redeemed by the sith or welcomed back to the council, all while following in the footsteps and tracing down revan and the exile because they like you were both expelled from both orders and this had something to do with why they left known space

also more exotic types of lightsabers, more devistating force powers, orbalisks (see previous post), and a more customizable style of gameplay not only your physical features at the begining at the game but your reputation as you continue to play

and finally something that we all probebly want is alot more plannets

That happened to Kreia, iirc. She was exiled by the Jedi, became Darth Traya and was later exiled by Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus.

Hahaha, Ok first post so bear with me KOTOR 3 Race Relations (or Interspecies political struggle for equality in a human run galaxy)
First up, I echo the calls from others, more races! I want to be a force weilding Wookie darn it! Or an evil yet cute Drall. I want to have race specific Powers Kinda like Elder Scrolls managed to do with orcs elves humans and beasts.
With each race choice a new begining. You start on Your home world. For example, as a Wookie (or a cat person or twi lek girl or others) you struggle against slavers who attack your colony. While they attack you "discover" a force connection and get "noticed" by a jedi. Cyborg would be an awesome race too. Some sort of "experimental" being made from parts of jedi (ok... Probably too far out there). Or as a non jedi character you could have to artificially stimulate Force powers through injections of Mitichlorines (sp) taken from jedi victims. 6 races atleast.
Of course totally customizable droids, you create one if you choose too or you buy one. Upgrades should change their physical appearance as well as their attributes.
Actual use for you spaceship other than just transportation, Navigate yourself. Perhaps the player can take optional transport if the chosen race is bad at flight... Make it a necessity to have a port of call. Enlist various people to shuttle you back and forth.
As has been mentioned, there should be missions for the other party members, two remain to guard the ship groups of three depart to 1. secure funds, replenish food stocks, or refuel. 2nd group performs minor quests. 3rd group gets information on main quest. Something like that.
Multiple character options, each character you normally pic up you have a choice between two or more.
Sith apprentice rivalry would be great, as darkside character one of your teammates will try to kill you in various ways. You must figure out whichone and then eliminate him, or have a disfiguring Quality. As a light side character you must find the sith in your ranks.
After a certain point damage you should have to loose body parts and then buy replacements. Unless the Jedi Universe has Universal Health Care, would be nice...
Battle Damage, as a dark Jedi parts should slowly be replaced. What would be cooler than having you voicebox replaced with a harmonica? Ah...
Class upgrades, as a scout you should have Scout duties to perform first! Fly a ship through an astroid field speed away from a cruiser at 8/10ths the speed of light before jumping away. Hide in strange places, get sneak skills...
Rogue you must be able to negotiate a deal with a hut, kill a grunt with bare hands, destroy stuff randomly.
Soldier you should be able to disassemble and reassemble a blaster in 20 seconds blindfolded... Or whtever soldiers do...
Burn turn based combat. Am I really going to shoot, wait for my opponent to shoot, then shoot again? So stupid.
Guild quests.
I would like to see Corescant (sp) and lodge a formal complaint with the czerka kiosk. Perhaps there can be a galactic side quest to crush czerka and the slave trade within the empire core?
Advance based on your use of character skills. I have wasted so many characters picking powers that had no use.
Must link up with Jedi world
MMO would be a horrible idea, the basis of a jedi's life is that there are few. Besides, how do you judge light and dark alliances on an MMO? Oyi...
Although an expansion to engage others Multi player would be fine.

Yes definite lightsaber hilt changes. Id also like to see lightsaber form change too, curved hilt, curved blade?

good, but i believe a BF3 was only rumored, nothing confirmed. mind you, i also read this on Wikipedia. hurrah for possibly inaccurate info...

I would like to see custom hilts when you make your saber. You would build your saber with individual parts i.e: emitters (that you can see the difference)
grips,control knobs and pommels plus the crystals and focus lenses. that way you could make many different sabers. I think this could work the game already does this to some extent.

i totally agree. if you had custom hilts it would make the game more realistic instead of just having the regular hilts.

I also would like the idea of still playing the game after you beat it. Maybe the creators could add a few planets that are unlocked once you beat the game. They could create more NPCs that spawn after the end of the game. Then you could continue playing and those NPCs could give you quests, jobs, or other things.

i just had an awesome idea in terms of the combat system yesterday, but forgot to post it. thankfully i didn't forget the idea itself:laugh:

so the idea is this: let's make the combat a bit more realistic. i think that your chance to hit should decrease the more you use the same attack over and over again. after all, if you keep using 1 attack over and over, the enemy would be able to predict what you'll do next, so your chance to hit would decline.

to add on to the idea, i think if you keep spamming an attack over and over, then throw in some random other attack, that random other attack has a MUCH higher chance to hit than normal, since the enemy shouldn't really be expecting it.

this idea is kinda similar to (but not inspired by) Sonya fighting one of those ninja warriors in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, where she keeps attacking the same way, keeps missing, then punches the guy in the face. to the hard-core MK fans, i apologize for not knowing "that guy's" name. i think it's either Ermac or Noob Saibot. but back to the main point, please tell me what you guys think

Overall it's a pretty good idea that puts a new tactic view in the game. However, you have the chance if implented wrong you get the following: Damn, this enemy is hard... Wait a minute! Keeps using the same attack, then different, repeats the proces... It's like the good old block hit technique from Oblivion: Block, hit 2 times, block,....

Can the title of this thread be changed to "What Do You Want in KOTOR III ~ not that it matters a whit", or would that just be too heartless?
