Okay I am confused too. How about we ask the strangers if they are willing to help us hunt the wolf? If the tracks get too old we might not be able to find his whereabouts until he strikes again. By the way, if we're talking in private one to another we're supposed to send private messages?blank wrote:Kolgar
lol we each edited our posts a few times so now i am not sure what we decided
anyway it seems me and onid are suggestion a merger and now await the groups response
also i have a question to Orod, do we have any way of sending a message like a letter to the sheriff notifying him on what were up to?

I assume people manage to leave meta-gaming an untouched theme here, so private conversations and personal knowledge is just fine to have on the thread.
As of to help you clarify, the safety of the roads is valued above anything else, and you are more than encouraged to seek aid in such tasks, rather than endanger civilian targets. Even if it is at the cost of information, other than that, your patrol was currently on the way to Mainport, before the wolf struck but Indion was the closest place of reinforcements after that.

Then it is agreed. Let's see what they say.blank wrote:the animal is still around so it will make new tracks anyway, ok i guess we will join them to mainport first then(assuming they agree)

Out of game : I am sorry, I thought we did. I'll do it then, unless Blank gets it first again.Orod wrote:as a note, would like for one of your characters to actually interact with them as well.
In game :
I turn around and speak to the hobgoblin,
"Traveling alone on this roads can be very dangerous. We're heading towards Mainport. How about we travel together, we turn the bandits to the authorities there and then you help us track down a beast that is terrorizing the roads."
I stop for a moment and then I continue with a faint amused smile,
"If we are really lucky we might encounter it on the way there. I guess you might stick together in case that happens."

"I see no problem with travelling with you both, but it's up to our leader to decide" I look at the Aasimar
"I could also help you track the wolf, if you have no problems with me, I am very adept at scouting, but that too depends on my leader"

Have you seen my brain around here? No? well in case you see it its brainy and squishy looking. If you see it let me know
I look from my companions to the newcomers to the dead bandits. "Fine. I'm not going to argue with your joining us, and if we complete your task at the same time, so much the better. Two rules, however. 1) No bigotry, of any kind. If you join with us then everyone on this caravan is your comrade to be treated as your own brother. 2) Leaders, or any designated chain of command or hierarchy, do not exist within this group. We act on consensus. Period." I toss two of the shovels I was carrying to them. "Now make yourselves useful; those bandits deserve a decent burial."
"Coming from one who depends on magic to survive in this world"Jivundus wrote:" I toss two of the shovels I was carrying to them. "Now make yourselves useful; those bandits deserve a decent burial."
I take one of the shovels and begin to help them how ever i also make a heal check on the bodies making sure they are all truly dead and also search their the corpses in case i find something important, ( i dont remember how many corpses there are so its better if you make the rolls +4 for heal + 0 for search)
My smile gets warm hearing the hobgoblin's kind words, kozeph wrote:Kuu'Shar

"Rules, rules and again rules. Obviously we're in no need for a leader since we already got one. A golden wannabe one."
I join Kolgar in searching the bodies and if nothing is found out ( To the DM: I presume in this cases we're using the take 20 rule? Did we found anything on their bodies to hint us to a possible employer? Or something useful? ) I start digging. After making some final shelters for the bandits I go push some heavy stones and cover the burial places to make sure wild animals won't scavenge them.
I then turn around and look at the fey and the gnome,
"Was this creature with you? What are we doing with her? How about the gnome?"

you find that the halfling is very much alive, and (assuming you chose to do so) manage to stabilize her. You also find identity papers on each of the bandit lying down, seemingly from no land you have heard of, the halfling is in addition carrying a small scrollcase stuffed with a wide variety of documents.
Onid
You find three vials on the body of the human in addition to what Kolgar found.
And after a long work with burial, the human (if Kolgar chose to help the halfling of course) is buried.

Before the caravan-master even get the time to answer, a hand sticks out from the caravan he sits on holding a first aid kit, "and be kind to bring those potions Onid, i think i can figure it out if they are helpful."

To the DM: Right now I presume I can see what Kolgar sees since he is right beside me. In this case I draw the following conclusion (please disregard this dialogue in case my assumptions are wrong)Orod wrote:Kolgar

I look at Kolgar with surprised eyes,
"This papers suggest that the bandits are highly organized. This attack doesn't seem random to me anymore. Someone or something must be behind all this and is doing things on purpose. What would be their intentions? Disrupting commerce between major cities is a matter of high concern and raises some obvious questions."
To the DM: Can I identify the vials? There is a healing one that can revive Eimia? Please roll anything that is needed.Orod wrote:Onid

I look down at the fey with surprise,
"This is one of your friends? We should bring her to a healer immediately, unless one of the vials I found one the deceased bandits can help her out."

I pat Onid on the shoulders, " Indeed this is a serious matter, we should show this to sheriff Dylan asap"
I head towards the asimar and ask "Can we use your familiar to send message to sheriff dylan?" if its possible and he agrees i write a letter informing the sheriff on everything that has happened since we were given the task and our current plans including the documents we found from the bandits and attach the scroll case to the familiars leg or neck

Two of the vials contain a transparent blue liquid, but the third contain a thick green liquid, which you recognize as alchemist's fire
(although you should look at my last post, the merchant tried to contact you)
