Looking very good kozeph! Seems we are even covered trap wise. Nice background story by the way, though the ransom they are asking for is more like a fortune  Sounds like they mean business!

Serious Interest

Hello All, I am 15 year D&D veteran looking to try my first Online adventure, I was wondering if there was any room left in this adventuring party. I have complete availability (GMT -5) Can post/play whenever. I've read the background of the campaign and am very intrigued, please let me know!
Thanks.

Sorry, Treblin, but there really isn't any more room. I'll be sure to let you know if the situation changes, but five players is as much as I can handle.

Sadface! I'll check time to time to see if anything changes, thanks!

Hmm...

Lately my life has stabilized since my move to new york and except for finding a job, I'm pretty much bored here so there's a good chance I may be willing to start up a game myself.

Check back in a couple days or so, I may have something.

Sounds like a plan Siberys! We look forward for the good news :)

If you do, please tell a user named Rylais. He asked to join our current game, and I had to say no, but I promised him a place if any spots opened up (he asked a few days before Treblin.)

If there's room afterward, I'd love to join as well (though I hope this doesn't mean you're leaving Karnakiid-VoMaF...)

No, definitely not leaving Karnakiid.

As for the number of spots, I can usually handle up to six players in one play by post game, so there should be room for you no problem.

Since all the spots were filled preventing Rylais and Treblin from gaming, I will say they have first priority over anyone else just out of fairness sake.

Quick question for better players: if a spell requires material components this means that every caster needs the components to cast it or some of them can skip the requirements at all (without using feats for this). I am thinking at innate casters like duskblades, sorcerers or bards (spontaneous casting) which should be different than wizards for example.
I am not sure if I am clear enough, but I can expand later if needed.

Only spell like abilities allow you to negate the need for material components.

You may want to ask annette about this but considering most material components are without cost, one can usually assume that you literally just have them on you.

It's kinda like food in game. At first, it may be relevant considering you don't have a lot of money but after a while, it just becomes so pointless to keep track of.

Yeah, material components are basically "in my pocket" at all times. Notable exceptions are the hugely expensive ones, like the diamonds needed for True Ressurection.

Great! Thank you both for the explanations. I knew it shouldn't complicate things like that.
