Can I ask why I've been put into the prosecution? Did I ask for the thread to be closed? Firstly, I was shining it, secondly, McBane was talking Bull**** but it was good lawyer bull****. Do I want the tavern to close? Hell no! I need booze dammit and the Mod that closes it will be given a sack-beating. Infact god dammit I'm going across to the tavern now, the crocs need to be put back under control and my shine jug is missing me. I'll see you all in the tavern dammit!

sorry McBane, you're the overworked, underappreciated, and underpaid counsel who's taking this case because he loves moonshine, the tavern, and the hopes that this high profile case will lead to better things.

It's ok to admit it. Someone's got to look for number 1 and since your an attorney, it might not be anyone else. No offense intended.

Seems Buzzy got one of the crocs (Alice) drunk and, well, lets just say that it seems a new species of animal has appeared. Looks kind of disgusting, has huge teeth, and doesn't really seem to be the most friendly little pup ever, but it IS fuzzy,.....well, at least where the scales don't show through anyway.

It might be too late to state your case Nippy. You seemed a little critical earlier in this thread.

Because I don't need to deal with a prosecutor who actually wants to win his case.

If you want to see the bar stay open and you act as prosecuting counsel, odds are you'll lose the case.

I would be willing to prosecute, though I have no training as a Lawyer. I haven’t even played one on TV.

I think the tavern clearly needs to be closed. Given the time to make my case, I could bring into question its principal foundation – Neutrality. Besides, its proprietors have clearly violated several laws, including laws against moon shining, providing alcoholic beverages to minors, and cruelty to animals. Worse still, they take a very dictatorial stance against anyone who inadvertently spills beer. Highly unfair to clumsy people. There does not appear to be adequate handicapped access, and the women’s bathroom may contain inappropriate surveillance devices.

There are two other grievances that supercede all others: 1) The proprietors have been known to mash on several fair ladies of this forum that I, myself, wish to mash on. And 2) The thread has gained a popularity that far exceeds the popularity of my own establishment, May it RIP.

Finally, we all know that Sleepy likes to close threads, sometimes willy-nilly. I say we should allow him to close this thread, which has had a long and fulfilled life, before he decides to go on a thread-closing rampage! I wouldn’t want any younger thread, burgeoning with life, to be cut off before its time.

I would like to state that Gwally is clearly not in control of his senses, as it has been documented on this very board that he has taken a serious head injury recently.....I can prove it, the blood is still on my porch.
