@all: I had to modify what Gilthanas did a little bit. I know it's my fault for being gone while it happened, but no way would he have let intruders just walk into the camp like that.

Vren pause for a second, "Anything I've missed Durn?" And at that, he left the main group and motioned Anduin to come over to the trees,"
Just to keep the story flowing, we shoudl try to avoiding ending posts like this. For instance, in this case it kept me from continuing a line of questioning of the group, as Anduin had been motioned off to the side, thus unable to progress the story (and as the DM that is an important factor) until finding out what was going to be said. If something like this is going to be added in, write out the full thing, responding how you think the other person would respond. that way we can keep it moving.

Good point. I know I've pulled a few of those in my time. ;) But you're right, it's a very bad habit to get into.

Aegis-your right. I only did that in the beginning because I didn't know the charcter's reactions and how they would respond. Now I think I know enough to put other charcter's answers in my post.

Magus-Yes, your right about your charcter not letting us just walk in. Good shot with a bow too.

I deleted my post and posted if after your's (Rail). The order was a bit strange otherwise. :)

Now I just deleted it. I'll see what to do after fully reading Aegis's post.

I'll post it a bit differently. :) I'll get it ok in a minute.

Minute later :D

Ok, think I got it right now. If not, it's cause I'm in kindof a hurry since I have to go in a minute. :)

Doh! It seems the story has progressed significantly in the last few hours! Oh well. I'll post it what I was writing anyway, since it shouldn't clash with what you guys wrote. Not to mention it took 4 hours to do! It's a bit out of sequence though, so keep that in mind (the first part is a dream Gilthanas had while he was still sleeping).

3rd edit...: Never mind. :)

@all: I left it unstated, but unless someone else has huge quantities of food tucked up his sleeve, we'll be hunting for food from now on. A small group doesn't need rations in the middle of a forest teeming with wildlife...which is the logic behind Gilthanas's seemingly foolish action. ;)

@craig: I modified my post, as your PM implied I should. It changes the part you quoted a little, plus a little before it. I had to leave some references to Vren being frightened however, or Gilthanas might have reacted differently. You say Vren wasn't trying to pick a fight, but it sure sounded like it, especially to someone as confrontational as Gilthanas. Vren showing weakness was the best way to end the encounter peacefully.

Thats good, I still haven't got it all figured out about Hins(Thats what Halflings call them selves); any way the sword wouldn't have let him fight Gilthanas... ;)

@Durwyn, if you want to learn more about the forest, talk to Casan. I personally know it you want to hear about it, but Casan doesn't.

But I'll work it in somehow. :)

@all- Just FYI, I'll be out of town for a few days with no internet access, but I'll post something as soon as I get back. Feel free to use my character as the story needs.

Why was Durn chanting? he's not a spellcaster, he more like a fighter.

Question

How do I deside how far to go in a post in a fight like this?
Does Aegis controlle the fight or does everybody do it for himself?

@Rob-hin: Keep in mind that Aegis didn't spawn this fight. ;) Therefore you have some freedom now that you might not have in a fight against say, the creature.

@Arcane: Hiding in shadows has a logical limit. Even the greatest of rogues can't hide in shadows in broad daylight without the aid of magic. Especially when someone's looking right at them as they do it. ;) That is, unless Gylderon has some sort of magical item up his sleeve...

@all: I'm pretty short on time right now. I'll try to get a post in soon, but I can't make any guarantees.

This is actually something I'm glad Magus brought up. Gylderon seems to be a little, how should we put it, skilled for a low level assasin. Considering, if we were to compare these characters to the game, a level one assassin wouldn't be able to blend in that easily, especially as Magus put it, in broad daylight, with a spectator.
