if i'm not mistaken, deer kill more people each year than any other animal.
a lot of this is due to auto accidents, but there is plenty of goring going on.

I've never had to run away from a deer either. I've only had two types of encounters with them.

1.)Met one at a state park, got to pet it. It was kawaii! :)

2.)I've nearly hit a dozen or so dear while driving around in the Texas Hill Country. :mad:

I've heard that, but I thought it was because of accidents... I don't think they tend to be viciously attacking people that often...

I am. That's why I've only nearly hit deer. I have a friend who was actually given an "award" by Kerr County in Texas because she hit about a dozen deer within a couple month's time. :eek:

An award, well that sets a bad example for the rest of the community. Wouldn't they be protected or were they an introduced species.
