If you want to be a tank, that's cool, but if there is something else that interests you more than go with that

As far as types of tanks go, it occurs to me that a barbarian would be an interesting choice But again, it's entirely up to you.

I went ahead and wrote in a town. I figure its a few days to the northwest of Tethyr, I needed a town to unload my damned caravan, and I figured everyone might want a local inn or tavern at some point.

Tavern's are good yes.

We've got 6 different people who've posted so far already.

ok so were high level chars? guess i need to think about what else my monks taking as far as classes. but ill get workin on my character. should be interesting. and qurks are ok?

quirks are fine, as we've said, you don't need to follow any set of rules too closely, just concentrate on enjoying the writing and creating your character's personality.

*chuckles* I woke up to the sound of my email making noises saying there were more posts and just had to read them.

I like quirks, my character has a few I'll put in over time which I've thought of. It makes things interesting.

Oh I didn't say that, I said they'd slowly unravel as time went on. There's a few as of yet, more to come.

I figured, I'd simply subscribe to certain threads so they'd get my attention if I was busy doing something. It's useless as checking my email. I've been bombed with hundreds of emails the past two weeks. If I'm writing, or playing a game though, the little sound goes off and I can decide whether to check or not. I should turn the thing off while I'm sleeping I think though.

I got a decent amount of sleep for once though so it's fine, got to write more and what not.

So, have you gotten the kind of response you and BS were expecting with this as of yet?

I already PMed DW to tell her how excited I was about this, and I've posted twice already.

I think it's great that some of the original members of the Dark Flames (ie- BS and T'lainya) are posting, and that more people can carry the torch besides DW. It really adds continuity.

Actually... I think both BS and I are overwhelmed by the response. We weren't at all sure how much interest this would draw. You guys have all been awesome!

@DW When I clicked on the link in your PM, I wasn't expecting nine pages of discussion... Then again, this is a DF thread I guess!

Anyway, I might well have some leisure time for writing over the summer, so once I've read the posts that are there, I'll start thinking about a character for some kind of contribution. I might keep my old character, more likely start with a fresh one though.

That's great, I've enjoyed writing here so far.

I've a good amount of time to write, so if people end up writing throughout the day, I may end up doing so myself quite often. That is until the three involved in my game I'm working on don't show up. That keeps me occupied until they dissapear.
