And you are an unobservant one, if this is something you've just discovered. ;)

A quote...? Here's a good one, by the all-too-forgotten Spiro Agnew, VP under Richard Nixon, and proven guilty repeatedly of taking bribes in office:

""I've been into many ghettos and, to some extent, I'd have to say this: If you've seen one city slum, you've seen them all."

@ Fable I was reffering to what the now wife might have said, merely speculating :)

Oh, gotcha, @Sleep. I admit that I am curious. Perhaps she's just an extremely discerning person who saw something good in Leedogg's character at a glance that whole battalions of women had run in horror from. ;)

I think my first date with my wife followed upon the highly original remark, "Would you like to hit dinner in a few days?" :D

actually-I lied. My wife was out with a friend of mine one night. and we were "play fighting(i was holding her down and giving her a good tickle) and somehow we found ourselves kissing! we didn't talk for a while after said incident.

Then after bout two months, she called us(my best friend lived with my parents and I) on new years eve and told my friend that "lee's gonna talk to me tonight!". i didn't know I wasn't talking to her, just knew that she hadn't called.

Anyhow, that was New Years Eve, 1998 we shared firs...well 2nd kiss at midnight and have been together ever since.

aawwwww...what a love story.

The quote is one i use often, for many occasions. :D :D

am i really strange?

You mean, you did the whole light-bondage-and-kiss thing, and you didn't know it constituted an escalation in your relationship beyond "hi"?

I'm glad it worked out for you, though. There's nothing like an impending thirty or forty years of unsolicited sex in waiting to really give a sense of joie de vivre to your life. ;)

@Weasel, Agnew was even worse, in some respects. I'm discounting most of the stuff he said in public (which was written for him by Pat Buchanan), but he was also found guilty of accepting bribes from contractors over a 10+ year period while an elected Baltimore Country official. Then, after he left office (after first accusing the liberal press of setting him up), he was found guilty of tax evasion--and ended up paying more than a quarter of a million dollars to Maryland as penalties as the kickback scandals. He and his good friend Frank Sinatra knew it was the fault of people who just didn't understand him.
