The romance has a set pattern, and continues regardless of when you get him. You can even get him in the ToB pocket plane, and the romance will begin at that time.
I would suggest if you are going to play the mod that you get the latest version...Weimar is constantly upgrading....

Great! I will make sure I DL a new version when I have time to replay BG2...probably during this summer
As much as I liked the idea on NPC interaction, the NPC:s were just too horrible personalities to romance
even if it's just a computer game

Well I tried all the various romances...but I know what you mean.
While we on the subject the Tashia mod is not bad either

Heh, maybe you and I share taste in men...
in which case I have some I would recommend...
The Tashia mod? I don't remember who Tashia was...

@DW: Aha, an entirely new NPC
Thanks for the link
One is in Sweden, the one who rang at my door 4am in the morning and suggested we go to Scotland on his motorbike
Another is in the UK...I know one in Russia too....All far away from where you live

Yes, she is quite cool. There is also Kelsey. The guy who made him put a ton of work into it, but he's not really my type...sort of the friendly, "aw gee, shucks" boy next door
LMAO! that sounds perfect
Suggestions of romantic escape without actually getting into trouble

It is good that people have addressed the question of romances, the "therapy - trust/distrust - love" pattern in BG2 was too similar in all romances. I was working as a clinical psychologist when I played BG2, so nothing could have been less appealing than acting therapist when I was playing CRPG:s to relax!
I have yet to experience a romantic escape without getting into trouble...

lol! No doubt..the last thing you want is to be reminded of work while you are trying to relax....
I have yet to experience a romantic escape without getting into trouble...
lol! I can relate
Most of the time I think that any kind of involvement with the opposite gender invariably leads to trouble no matter how much you try to avoid it

Yes
One kind of trouble or another, not necessarily between me and the person I have a romance with...
Sometimes from very surprising sources...
Speaking of which, I must go to bed - I have an early meeting with my lawyer tomorrow (not Astafas!
) regarding my ex's and mine share of marital property...not that we had anything of value, and it was over 2.5 years ago we divorced...but in Sweden you need a formal court decision of the sharing, not only the divorce, and for some strange reason my ex has delayed this process until this point...it has turned out is was probably to get what little we had...well he can have it, I just don't understand the point in trying to make things more complicated...
Good night all

@dragon wench:
Well, I finally couldn't take it anymore, so I went out and bought Neverwinter Nights.
I'm taking a little break from it right now, and I have to say I'm rather enjoying it.
Of course, I miss Minsc, and Jan, and Jaheira, and old cranky Korgan, and even that little pointy-headed monkey boy Edwin...
On the bright side, NWN seems to be filled with some rather interesting NPCs, from dopey priests of Helm to scantily-armored female paladins.

@Chanak,
lol! Thus far I have resisted temptation in buying NWN. I will probably get it at some point but I will need to purchase more ram first....given that Win xp is such a hog
I'm not in a rush though, I haven't even actually finished ToB yet.

Lucky you!
ToB was probably the most fun of BG2 for me. Getting Sarevok as a party member was just too good to pass up. Not only that, but I love his homicidal laughter.
Perhaps I shall work on a module for NWN, and add a tavern called "The Home for the Depraved." What race/class/alignment would you like to be, DW?
(drow, I'm sure...
)
Good night!

That heterosexual women complain about men the most, though admittedly we don't have any lesbian members of SYM so I can't test the theory fully.
You have at least partially proven the theory again since yesterday, though.
@CE-I like your way of dealing with Nalia and Aerie. Overall I'd say the best (non-Mod) romance was Viconia, but it still wasn't that great to begin with.
What's NWN like, @Chanak?

Hmmm....yes how about a chaotic neutral drow assassin
One of the nice things about being drow would be the naturally high magic resistance.....

*grin* That's probably because in general heterosexual women have more contact with men.....
I am just using hyperbole in most instances btw...

Is it possible to be a Mustard Jelly in NWN?

@Z
don't know the answer to your question, but hi
Damn it's hot outside.... I moved here from Victoria in the Fall, and the difference in temperature is quite surprising. Probably because Victoria is perpetually windy, and basically on a peninsula.
Nice change to be comfortable in shorts after sundown though!

This has gotta be one of the hottest summers in Vancouver that I've been through.....I guess it's just making up for all the rain we had earlier in the year. Yeah, it's good to be in shorts without freezing your rear off, although I'm having trouble sleeping with the heat.
