It was burny, and it tasted snasty.
Goldenschlager is good.
We had a halloween party once where we got a guy to take his belt off and use it to climb a 20 ft pole. We had to call the fire department to get him down. ( he was later convicted of stealing a drag racing snowmobile.

(and if amber or yellow cognac). In fact it was made of mulberries, not of grains which gave it a slighty fruity tast which you could just discern above general feeling of having put liquid fire in your mouth.
Yeah I found that out the hard way once....I had just got out of gym class and i was really thirsty and my throat was dry so I bump into a freind of mine...with him he had a clear water bottle...but no water just a liquid...I then grab it a pound it thinking it was ice tea..or something...well it wasnt it was cognac...

When we indulged in the Armenian moonshine, at the end of the evening the local friend who gave us the stuff was convinced that my boss needed a good dose of water over his face to do him so good. With the result that my boss's girlfriend, dressed in a nightie, and trying desperately to get the guy out of their bedroom (where they just put my boss to bed) got half a bucket of water thrown over her.
Happy days!
The nasty thing is that we had during a certain time this bottle of homebrewn in the fridge which was indistiguishable from the bottles of mineral water... fun, fun, fun. Happy confusion.

I don't have any experience with homemade hard alcohol, but the least pleasant alcoholic encounter I have ever had occurred in Japan... It is hard to refuse hospitality politely there... Well a group of us were hanging out with the owner of a restaurant somebody was working for...
At first.. it was great. All kinds of very tasty food, beer, sake..
But, as the boss became more drunk... he brought out bottles of single malt scotch *and* brandy. At one point he was mixing brandy and scotch in our glasses.... :speech: :speech: :speech:
Suffice to say.... the after effects were not fun... *shudders*

Scotch is Scottish whiskey. If you have tried whisky, it is the same basic family.
Single Malt Scotch is the good stuff... and that can be (sort of) compared to a fine Bourbon.
I really avoid mixing different alcohols...
![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/)
And in an evening, I try to stick to the same brand, vintage etc.

No single malts defer from blended whisky's in that they use malt of a single origin in distillation so each single malt has a distinct "personality". Blended whisky's (J&B's, Hohnny Walker) use a mixture of malts, and try to have continuity of taste.
Concerning mixing beer with hard drink:
Submarine: Hoegaarden (Belgian White Beer) with a small glass in it filled with lemon flavoured jenever (Dutch/Flemish ginlike alcohol).

Ive never had a whisky malt..most of the malts here that Ive tasted are vodka malts..like Sky Blue, Mikes Hard Lemonade, Smurnoffs lemonade malts...and such. There not strong at all but nice to have when having a small get together playing games and you want the games to go on for awhile
![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/)
...
Submarine: sounds great...Can I mix it with any other type of beer or gin...if not Ill try to find a place that might carry that..or is it only available were your at
