I'm your saviour again?
Things get kinda desperate when that happens...
Right then. Must sort out a purchase I made a few hours ago, see if I can edit it. So I'm a little busy. I'll spam too.

Check this thread and especially the second post and the link on it

I bought some stuff for my PDA- a storage card and an adapter (so it can be connected to a PC). I ordered a card that doesn't go with the adapter though, so I wanted to change it. Unfortunately it's already been 'picked' (off the shelf I think) so it doesn't look like I can do that.

Okay...
So, did you check the link I posted, and especially the link in that thread's second post?

That thing about typing failure into Google and getting Bush's career? I've seen it. There was something good for 'French Military Victories' too, IIRC.

Bleh, you didn't think someone would mention 'Google' somewhere within 840 pages?

Yes, but wouldn't you think the same of other threads, like HC, and many others?

Maybe the Heathens have a great dislike for it, I don't know. I was a little surprised that the HC wasn't in the list. Ikky probably wrote the search in some way that excluded the HC.
They started showing Season 9 of Stargate SG-1 yesterday, and I missed the first episode.
I might just watch Atlantis on the TV and wait for SG-1 to be released on DVD though, this year. Makes it more interesting.
I see no new spam...

@ Kipi: A lot of people noticed. SLEEP SIGHTING!

Gosh, rare member sighting!
Hello Hill.
It's so quiet lately, that I might be driven into doing some work.

Sleep hasnt posted since 2002 before today, I think. DW, Xandax, and Aegis are currently 3 of the few people left who knew who he was.
He used to be a moderator of SYM. Famous for making the threads Gamebanshee Member Anatomy and goody.
I would go on, but I would use references only my apprentice would understand.

I had seen references from really old threads (probably from that SYM history thread you started) and hadn't seen anything from whatisname more recently. Didn't know he used to be a mod though.
And what a relief you're leaving out the more in-depth history. *phew*

Did you just make fun of a historian?
*huff*
Thats it...
One day, in the year of the millenium...

I suppose making fun of you in any way, would now grant me a speech on SYM history? Such inventive torture. Next I'll be thrown into a tent of burning manly love in the name of the SYM past.
I better look at some Java stuff...and get a headache from it...
Arrgh! Arrays and Vectors...

What, do you want me to begin to crusades of history?
I worked with Java a long time ago. What are you currently doing with it? Web design? What are you doing in the area of that type of construction?

As long as I don't become the target of some historical Inquisition, I don't mind. What would it involve? Lancing kittens?

At the moment we're recouping the stuff from last year, I think after having a long break (between university years) from it. We're going over to programs from applets now. It's not really tied into anything like web design as it's just one module of a larger course. Mainly it's just focused on the Java programs themselves rather than their presentation (e.g. in web pages or proper interfaces).
I'm just reading through the lecture material for last week's lecture which I missed. This is it:

I did work like that in school a long time ago.
I can still script.

Just not as well. I am also very well versed in HTML... and able to use it effiecently.
I am a man of many skills... all seemingly useless when it comes to my current job.

I covered HTML as well, through programs like Frontpage and Dreamweaver and through writing of the HTML code. That's generally easier than Java though (at least for me).
I think vectors in Java are quite new to me, apart from the mathematical part.
Anyway, I have to find out the similarities & differences between arrays and vectors and where one of them would be better than the other.
