Thanks CE, it's nothing serious ;) But I do feel somewhat lethargic, so planting myself in front of the computer is an agreeable way to pass the time ;)

Besides, I am adhering to the standard practice of resting so that it doesn't get worse :D

@Ysh: Hi! *hug* Is it cold in London? It's been baking hot here all week - I think the coldest day was 28C. The sun is devastating, I wonder how big the ozone hole over Greenland is this year...
It has been pouring rain for days :( Our summer lasted for Saturday and Sunday last week  LOL! :D We went away for the weekend and spent four hours in holiday traffic going 100 miles. With the sun roof open I tanned lovely...down one side!!  leaving a white line from the arm of my sunglasses across one cheekbone. I am scarred!!! :D

Well, we are a member of the Commonwealth after all! :D Some influences never change :D Although, unfortunately, a lot of Canadian beer is garbage, you have to buy the stuff produced by small breweries in order to get anything decent.

LOL!! :D See the powers of SYM!! we move from discussing diction to beer and in walks BS! :D :D

@BS - it looks a sight! I didn't realise how hot it was (having air conditioning) but I do tend to catch the sun easy. If I had known I would have ditched the shades! :D

What can I say? I'm gifted. Don't worry too much about the tan thing, I am just getting over a bad case of sunburn myself. I actually didn't know I had it till the hot water in the shower hit....oh the horror. :D

Heh, profylatic resting is always good, isn't it :D I also feel lethargic, especially in the brain ;) I am however not bad at all, it's just my common "must write more for the meeting with my supervisor tomorrow" - syndrome. I've been out in the sunshine a lot, socialising with friends, watching football and all those other nice things in life that makes my brain go soft! :D

LOL :D You look like my hubby then, he is also tanned on one side because we sat at a street cafe several hours yesterday without changing places. I don't think it looks bad though, it just looks...interesting :D

@BS: Hello BS, so haven't entirely left us yet? :) I'm fine, thanks, just having the usual problems with my articles and the lovely weather here does nothing to enhance my productivity :D

Interesting is not the word I would have used last Saturday night! :D Freaky more like!! I just couldn't cover this white stripe! yet the tanning blended nicely and was not too obvious otherwise! :D

Well, if it is obvious you have been in the sun, you could be in trouble with your supervisor....Mine never fails to comment if I am tanned or sun flushed....

Now there's a shock! How will he survive the mountains without copious amounts of liquid refreshment? :p
Oh, Hi BS ! ;)

Still here til tommorrow morning CE, ain't you just lucky people? :D And if it would help motivate you, I could try to ship some of this rain over your way. The weather here has been hot and wet, a strangely uncomfortable combination.

I'm sure it's just sexy :D

When I'm at high altitude and use my really stylish mountaineering sun glasses with leather flaps to protect from sun from the sides, I always look like a racoon when I come home. It's however fairly easy to get rid of if you use a very high sunblock factor lotion on all the areas that are tanned, and leave the white areas uncovered. A couple of hours in the sun usually does it! :)

LOL, he does? :D Mine will not, I'm sure, he would probably not notice if I turned green-and-pink striped...he only sees what I have written, or rather, what I haven't written... :D

Both you and Ysh could ship over some rain, esp Dottie would be happy :) Maybe a Western wind will do the job. What are you going to do in the mountains, BS? Hike around, live in a tent, rent a cabin, sing before the camp fire in the evenings or no plans at all?

@CE, My supervisor has the irritating habit of linking what I haven't written with the tone of my skin. And unfortunately, I tend to tan very quickly.....I always considered this an advantage, but since I have been in grad school I am a bit unsure :D

This is one advantage with more....erm...herbally-based recreational activities, far easier to transport...... ;)

@CE, a friend of mine has a small cabin a few miles out that he is letting me use. I figure I won't stay there most of the time, unless it really starts to rain badly, hence the reason I am trying to unload all my bad weather. :D I just plan on hiking, getting in touch with my environment, just no TV, radio, nothing but me and the terrain.....oh, and the snakes. But I promised not to bite them :D All I am taking with me is my guitar and some food and drink.

Oh, Dottie, you can have it, the rain is on it's way. :D

DW, I don't want to see of hear of herbal based recreation, this is SE Ky, and that would mean I was standing in someones field, which I DON'T want to be. They tend to get territorial.

Hehehe...Image
Have you tried wearing a hat with really large eh, what's it called in English? The part of the hat that is not directly on your head, the sides, that can be very broad on a sunhat or sombrero.

Or you should get yourself a djellabah, the kind of outfit desert people in the Arab world wear. It a long gown, usually in dark colour to keep the heat out, with a large hood you cover head and face with.

Ah, what an irritating supervisor, obviously a smart guy/gal :D Luckily my supervisor is too much of the professor stereotype to note such things...I don't think he understands that people may actually choose to spend a day outside in the sun rather than working...he would probably just be confused if he noticed I was tanned :D

@CE: Nah, I prefer staying inside and rant about it on SYM. :D

@BS: I certainly hope so, I wouldnt like to have my high regard of you tainted. :D
