Not cryptic, my friend, I was advising you choose your enemies carefully ;) You can follow the way of the Fas, or you can choose to ally or tolerate the DF...the choice is yours ;) :D

@Fas, goodnight...sleep as well as your conscience lets you! ;)

not sure I follow you here. can you elaborate. no, i'm not drunk. well, otay, maybe I am. that's beside the point, I think I can help.

Did you try posting this in the tech support forum. **leaves the tavern to go look there.**
I haven't gotten around to posting in the tech support forum. To elaborate, my 40 gig hard drive(which I bought last semester) came with a disk that allows you to, among other things, make an exact duplicate of one drive onto another drive. I was doing that and, when it was almost done, it came across a file that caused the whole process to abort. Now my comp won't boot up. :(

SS,

Do you have a boot disk (recovery disk) for your machine (If all else fails setting your computer to Boot off the CD drive and putting in the windows install C.D. should work)? If not have you tried booting into protected mode? How far does it go in the boot sequence before it stops? Why haven't you posted this in technical support? - Curdis !

I'm not sure if I understand what you're referring to by "boot disk."

I haven't posted this in tech support yet because I just haven't. I don't really know why.
