Quite possibly, if we were talking about water and babboons, which we're not.

Yeah, exactly. I don't like anything above 70 degrees, and it's 85 here. I should just move like 1000 miles north of here and see how the weather is there. I just took an hour walk to get some ice cream and I'm sweating like you wouldn't believe and I hate that.

The moving north would require work, which requires more sweating, which would be counterproductive in this case, I think. But this talk of ice cream makes me hungry. To the freezer it is. Now if i can only find my chocolate chip cookie dough somewhere amongst the frozen smurfs...

Your back! Did you get ahold of some ice cream amidst all the bodies? Those little bugger's cause trouble even frozen and dead.
Lesson of the Day:
Don't ever be afraid to tell someone how you feel for them. You may not get another chance to do so.

Damn straight, one of the most important lessons of life.
Many a time I look back and want to punch myself for not seizing a moment to say/do something
. There's an excellent scene in
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, where Carrey's character looks back and says "I wish... I wish I'd stayed". One of the most moving and touching moments in film in my opinion, and more importantly, one could really associate with it.

Yep, exactly. If you truly feel strongly about something, it should come out. I'm not saying that when your drunk and horny you should blurt it out to anyone who starts looking good. There are things though that carry a significance to you that frankly, if you don't say, you could end up regretting that each and every day of your life afterwards.
I have a few myself, and they are with people that simply aren't here anymore. Even if you risk being hurt, or rejected, or laughed at, at least you've spoken what was important to you. Not held it in, and wish you'd done so years earlier.

Aye but having said that, its still important to move on
.
I can't remember where I read it/who said it but "you can spend life thinking about the opportunities you missed, so much so that you don't see the opportunities right in front of you".
Obviously it was worded much better than that, but I feel its an important lesson, and one I do my best to follow. While it is important to remember the past, best not to dwell on too much it since you can miss whats happening now.
Perhaps it was more like "When one door closes, another is opened."

Yes, but one has to make sure that some sadistic bastard isn't waiting to slam that door in your face as soon as you step through.

Gah, speaking of which. Last night I went to visit my friend at work since I couldn't sleep. A yong lady came in around 1:30am to use the bathroom. The ladies room was broken, and she threw a fit, so I told her to use the men's room and went back to reading the catalog my friend was showing for his business he's running outside of this overnight job.
Now, not even looking at this girl, facing away from her, I was talking to her. Her friend, make a snarky comment, and I turned around and she was glaring at me. At first, I had no clue why, I was absolutely polite to her friend, didn't even look at her, so I wasn't flirting or oggling her like a creep. Then, I recognized this girl as the one who used to be a complete
<expletive deleted> to me whenever she'd come in drunk on weekends when I was working there. The last time I saw her was at a party, and I told her so too. So, I'm standing there, smirking at her, when her friend comes out of the bathroom and strikes up a conversation with me.
Now, girl 1 is fairly cute, talking to me and being friendly. Not flirting or anything, simply drunk and talkative. Girl 2, looks like someone filled her mouth with something unpleasant and went crosseyed. Girl 2 get's impatient and stomps her foot and says to girl 1 "I don't know why your talking to him, he's nothing special anyways!" to which I growl and bite back my comment while her friend lays into her and says she can talk to whomever she wants to. I was just SO tempted to say "You know, I've had girls far prettier and smarter than you BEG me to do things to them that would make you turn red in the face" but I didn't. Now I regret not doing so.
Idjit woman.

Well, it is so often the way, sir, too late one thinks of what one *should* have said. Sir Thomas Moore, for instance -- burned alive for refusing to recant his Catholicism -- must have been kicking himself, as the flames licked higher, that it never occurred to him to say, "I recant my Catholicism
(that one's for you Den)

Ah, if I really felt like it, I could put up poster's all over town with her picture on it and a message. That would be really mean though.
The cops didn't like it the last time I did that years ago either.
