Nah, we kinda sorta got into trouble in science class though. We umm, yeah. Bunsen burners and a storage closet full of chemicals, with a credit card to open the locked door. I'll leave it there.... :o

I only got in trouble in science class a couple times. Once was when another (fat) teacher came in and asked my teacher if he had any crackers and I started laughing. Another time my teacher brought in one of his carrier pidgeons, which got away, flew into the glass door of a cupboard, and knocked itself unconscious... and I started laughing. The last time was when I had had my hand up for about twenty minutes while my chemistry teacher was chatting up the girls that always flirt with him. I got tired of it and said "Mr. Duff, you're not going to get anywhere with those two, they're too young, and you're married. I have a question about this assignment though."

Hello Kitten. ;)

@ Aramant, That's hilarious! There was a lunch room moniter we had in 7th and 8th grade. We dubbed her "Thunderthighs", she wasn't truly huge, just the lower half of her. We actually had to move tables while she did her rounds. There was simply not enough room for her to do her job without the students having to move the lunch tables EVERY time she moved between them.

There was a legend, that the big crack in the cement floor was from when Thunderthighs fell.

Bye slade! Have fun!

Ha, Thunderthighs.

All the incidents I described were in highschool, though. Actually, there was another exchange between the chemistry teacher and myself, but it wasn't in class. I was in the school production of Fame in grade 11, and I played one of the teachers. After the show I passed Duff when he was hanging out with the boys' soccer team. He called after me "Mr. Veri! You make a good teacher." I said "Thanks, wish I could say the same for you."

That's good too! I wish I had stories about my "normal" high school. I got kicked out of that one and sent to an alternative one. Umm, I taught 9th grade biology. My teacher was an idiot. Everyone gathered around my desk, and I gave lessons while she complained about uppity students. School wouldn't get rid of her because she had "tenure". Tenure shouldn't mean crap if you're and idiot and 70% of your students are failing. I brought all of the kids I was teaching up two letter grades...roughly 30-40%. :D

What was alternative about it?

I have a couple stories, but I think I've told them already on this forum. Lost cat... Frisbee day... late excuses...

What was alternative about it? That's just the label it was given. 6 kids per class room with 1 teacher and 1 teachers aid. We were the kids who were too crazy, violent or disfunctional for a regular school. You really couldn't get kicked out for bad behavior aside from doing something that got you locked up. However, if you stepped out of line too bad, you were restrained by the staff. Like that mattered. They wouldn't come near me or my friend Chris. We did what we wanted, they were afraid to try stopping us. We're big boys.

*shrugs* It got boring. We owned that school and it got to the point of thinking "I can just go home. They can't do crap." which led to "Man...this is boring." :p

Have fun, I've got about a 1/3 of a liter of vodka in me at the moment. Tomorrows drinking night though. I plan on really drinking tomorrow with Rachel, Josh and Rene.
