Here's a nice photo of the survey area I'm currently working in in northern New Mexico. You can't tell, but I'm standing on a Gallinas (a short-lived branch of the Anasazi) tower site.

Nice area. So this is where your spending your time instead of hanging around here. I had an uncle that lived somewhere in New Mexico for awhile, I'm not sure where though. One of these days I may go out there myself, I always wanted to go out west, ever since I was 3 and my dad was watching a western that said "Go west young man"
Oh, and watch out for snakes.

Re the pics, I am quite sure that if they come out they will be good (apart from the inevitable redeye), I know that the flash was choosy from time to time
The stupid thing was I only needed a battery for mine and forgot, and that said - even though there was a camera, we all forgot to take pics anyway - too distracted by the side-show!
