@Lestat,
ROFL ! :D Given the general enmity between people from Alberta and Ontario, I find this incredibly funny!
*imagines massive demonstrations in the towns and cities of Alberta as irate consumers demand that the game Risk be boycotted by all" :D

Well, in the mean time I've read the survey and I see why it could have been a problem.
Basically it says that there are three possible sources of problems for Canada:
- alienation of the West, especially Texas, uh I mean, Alberta, from the centre (especially with the resource bonanza)
- "Québec libre" comme disait l'ami de Gaulle ("A Free Quebec" as said our friend de Gaulle.
- relations with the US (it ain't easy having the last superpower on the doorstep, especially since almost everyone is actually living on the doorstep: a country 5,500 miles long and one inch wide, I loved that one).

And that the liberals will probably remain in power (but probably again minority government), even though there is dissatisfaction with them, because the opposition is too divided/too regionally based. And that basically the big political divide/opposition is between the different levels of government rather than between two political blocks on a national level.

And that Canada is one of the best places to live in the world regardless (with amongst others high marks for tolerance & diversity), but sloppy government hinders it from being the best place.

Well that is the extremely simplified version, of course.

That is actually a very accurate synopsis :D

A variation on the infamous De Gaulle slogan:

"Vive Le Québec Ivre" :p

Oh dear, did I bump this thread. Dearie me!

Chus, this is a sign that you have been online for too long. Step away from the keyboard and speak to a councillor. :p

I don't think I would recommend that. Most councillors I have ever spoken to are delusional nutbars with a unique flair for pointing out the utterly obvious :D

Chus would end up an even sadder case than he is now

Well, anything can always get worse

If he went to see a therapist.. he wouldn't just be worried about a big cat in the woods, he'd think he had already been eaten by the said cat :p

Pesimist. Anything can get better. I could be even happier if I hugged you at the moment. Speaking of which... *hug*
