Beldin:
@Eerhardt&Ode: It's one of the most hilarious things - watching stoned or slightly tipsy people while being sober...
(of course I CHANGED that status as quickly as possible....by "lighting up" and downing a beer (and ONLY one !) ....)
It's always good for some laughs...

*Emerges from the shadows*
Well must run, at least before the bad mannered gnomes organise themselves again.
*Looks over to the dark tunnels once again*
If I make a right, where the howling begins, maybe I'll find a path to the exit...{trails off into a mumble}
*Walks off into the tunnels...*

Seeya Tam.
I love watching people who've started in on the partying before me, though admittedly I love watching everything when stoned myself.
I also think every house should have a Rocky Horror-style 'Zen room'. The novelty value of a zen-room cannot be over-emphasized.

C U Tam, I think there may be some rubble from our last visit in the tunnels
. When you get there, the exit shouldn't be too far... ** finishes his FHS and orders a pint of
purple beer **

Never underestimate the power of a pool...
..and I'll stop this line of conversation now - I won't risk getting banned...

A pool, too, is a worthy investment for any home-owner.
I'd sell the values of a renovated railway carriage too (especially ones with two-person showers
), but they're rather obscure things to have.
**Gets CM a cup of tea** What does CM stand for anyway @Fas?

@Ode: Chauvinistic Male (if you hadn't guessed
). It was Beldin's idea to copy the CD contents to your hard drive in DOS and install it from there, so
@Beldin.
PCI is
Peripheral Component Interconnect. A circuit board bus connection to connect boards to memory and the CPU. Used mainly in Intel Pentiums and above, PCI is a fast connection for boards such as NICs, internal modems, and video cards.
e.g.
PCI pic
I think you should check the net for "PCI installation" for the type of board you have.

Never tell! Never!
When i first started surfing the net way back in 1998, i used to post on a cricket forum, me and my sis used to run.
So i had the original long nick there, which i shortened to the Initials CM.
Since i posted on more than 1 cricket forum, i stuck with the handle.
As people would know who exactly i was and decided to use it on other forums, like Pakistan based sites, politics and defense forums and then here.
I also use the same nick at the teambg site, and 2 other gaming sites i dont visit anymore.
If you check the big pakistani politics forums, CM has quite a reputation
What CM stands for i will never tell.
It was a childish nickname, and i will never tell anybody.

Actually it wasnt Chauvinistic Male, it just worked out that way.
And yes Beldins idea worked perfectly.
But so did your link.
I setup my default BIOS setting and then it worked perfectly with the installation.
Thanks.
@ode thanks for the tea.
Deshined of course?

@CM:Another possibility is the most frequent cause of mistakes in the computerworld - "R.T.F.M." (= Read The F***ing Manual...
) ...in your case I'd recommend the manual of your motherboard - it should tell you if the PCI drivers and/or PCI Bridge has to be installed for your set-up.
No worries,
Beldin

EDIT - @Fas: Try
