The Soil Preservation Effect:
The new guy on GB is annoyed by the presence of an older member, who is a fellow boy scout, because of the new guys bo scout training he lights the older member on fire, burning half of his body as a sacrifice to God, and burying the other half providiing rich nutrients to the soil in an effort to preserve it and to keep the plants surviving off of it alive.
