Seeing that no one cares to reply from down the hatch, Nordak makes a quick sign to Gu'dan and whispers,

Let's get in there too. I wonder why they are so silent. Hopefully they are not too far away somewhere. All this silence makes me wonder ...

Listen: 1d20-1=16
Spot: 1d20-1=14

After checking to see if something can be heard or seen down the hole, Nordak proceeds to use the hatch.

I'm currently waiting on Kozeph to respond but once he does I'll post a major update for all characters.

@Allexa-

A wave of darkness washes over your face and you begin to black out. You eventually wake up back downstairs, and you no longer remember anything about what has happened to you, including people you've met, in the last 24 hours.

Your body is also fairly numb and eyes are soar. You see a needle on your table with a few droplets of a glowing green substance.

You take a -2 penalty to dexterity and all dexterity based checks for 24 hours and for the next hour you can only take single actions in a round (one move action, one standard action OR one free action, as opposed to getting all three in one round).

@Nordak and Gu'Dan-

You and Gu'dan head into the hatch room and see Jeronis and Shile fiddling with a mechanical door device. Shortly after he pushes a few more buttons, you see a creature materialize out thin air, right behind Jeronis.

It moans, he notices, and you guys (Nordak and Gu'Dan) will be apart of the surprise round for noticing the creature manifest.

Roll initiative.

OOC:
I am not sure how far I can go and if I can move & attack the creature in the same round. If I can attack it, I will do so, otherwise I will draw the weapon and move so that I can hit it in the next round while intimidating it, if allowed. If possible I will maneuver so that Nordak ends between the creature and Shile/Jeronis. You can consider the rolls for the next round too, or I can roll again.

I will post some scenarios below so the DM can choose what is appropriate. I am not sure where the draw weapon sits (is this a free action?). I am also not sure if I can switch the Draconic Aura from Presence to Power in the same round. In the third scenario I tried to intimidate the creature - is this possible in the same round? How about the feat Power Attack - can I keep it always on since I understand I need to do some adjustments because of it - this are to be done before each attack or before combat, when are this declared?

Finally, the order of preference is Scenario 1 to Scenario 3. Please pick the right one or mix them as you see fit. I apologize for needing so many explanations - this should not happen anymore once I work more with the mechanics.

Combat stats: I will try to modify my signature so that most of them are always included!
HP: 23/23
AC: 17 (10+6 Armor+1 Natural)
Saves: F +7/R +0/W +2
Attack: +5 (1+4 STR)
Weapons: Greataxe (masterwork) +6 / 3d6+6 / x3 & Gore (secondary attack) +0 / 2d6+4 / x2
Draconic Aura: +1 Power/Presence/Senses

Scenario 1 (Charge the creature while swinging the greataxe and/or impaling it with the horns - if I cannot do both just pick what is appropriate):

Seeing the creature threatening his comrades Nordak charges into battle,

This basement will also be your grave!

Greataxe (masterwork) Attack: 1d20+8(6+2 Charge)=20,+8=28
Greataxe (masterwork) Critical!: 1d20+8(6+2 Charge)=14,+8=22
Greataxe (masterwork) Damage: 3d6+7(6+1 Power Aura)=6,5,5,+7=23
Gore Attack: 1d20+2(0+2 Charge)=12,+2=14
Gore Damage: 2d6+5(4+1 Power Aura)=1,6,+5=12

Scenario 2 (if for various reasons I cannot charge it, I will move and attack, using the same rolls as above):

Seeing the creature threatening his comrades Nordak rushes into battle,

This basement will also be your grave!

Greataxe (masterwork) Attack: 1d20+6=20,+6=26
Greataxe (masterwork) Critical!: 1d20+6=14,+6=20
Greataxe (masterwork) Damage: 3d6+7(6+1 Power Aura)=6,5,5,+7=23
Gore Attack: 1d20+0=12,+0=12
Gore Damage: 2d6+5(4+1 Power Aura)=1,6,+5=12

Scenario 3 (if I cannot attack it, I will try to maneuver so I can stand between the creature and Shile/Jeronis, intimidating it if possible):

Nordak rushes to cover his comrades - his whispered, threatening voice sending shivers down the spine,

Foul creature! Do not dare to touch them!

Intimidate: 1d20+7(3+4 Size)=12,+7=19

Ok it's dead.

The combination of Nordak's furious blow and Gu'dan's undead turning killed it before it could ever act.

Just a note though: Constructs, elementals, abberations, undead, plants, oozes, and outsiders are immune to critical hits.

As for your knowledge Undead Gu'Dan, you know this creature to be a Wight, a type of very preserved undead that can drain your energy with its touch, and spawn more of it's kind from the corpses it creates.

When you guys kill it though, it doesn't simply fall over. It disappears.

"Oh my what rockuss" Shile says placing her hand over her lips trying to mask her smile as the Wight returns to nothingness.

"Seems the door is trapped after all!" She says happily I wonder what will happen if we trigger it again. The Shade then nodds at both her new companions.

"I see curiosity got the best of you"

"A viscious Wight, cruel form of undead that feasts upon the livings power. Well slain Nordak, very impressive with that axe. Gu'dan moves over to where Shile and Jeronis are. "Now that that thing is dealt with, what are you two up to?"

Nordak spits with disgust where the creature was, while activating his Senses Draconic Aura,

You should have known better abomination!

Then he turns to the others with his calm look turned back to him,

Everyone is okay? I am glad we made it in time! What is Sundown hiding here anyway? A cemetery?

OOC: do the draconic auras radiate to other party members?

"Thanks for the rescue guys", says Jeronis while making eye contact briefly.

"We are trying to get this puppy open. See these numbers scratched here are all prime numbers. We tried punching in '13' and the undead attacked us"

"Why did that undead just poof disappear?"

Intelligence check to determine if the 'disappearing' indicated an illusion:

OOC- Yes, to anyone within 30 feet of Nordak.

@Jeronis-

Intelligence Fail.

You have no idea what the hell that thing was or how it did the disappearing trick.

"So what about this device? You push buttons and vile beasts appear aye? I think I'd rather go back over to the bar!" You know, I thought Allexa would have followed me back downstairs, wonder what she's doing up in the stairwell, didn't seem like much was going on when I was up there."

Nordak nods to Gu'dan,

Check on what Allexa is doing. Wights in a basement are not a natural occurrence. We need everyone together so we can figure out what is going on here.

He then looks at the device again, scratching his massive head,

This kind of jobs are not my type. Anything peculiar about this door?

Nordak checks it carefully for any signs of how it was used before and then tries to hear if any sounds comes beyond it.

Spot: 1d20-1+1=11,+0=11 (I'll take a 20 if possible)
Listen: 1d20-1+1=9,+0=9 (I'll take a 20 if possible)

If nothing is seen/heard Nordak will push 3, 7 and then circle or 5, 7 and circle.

"Aye, leave it to tha wimmen to go and wander off, I'll be back, don't go gettin' yerselves killed while I'm gone!" Gu'dan heads out of the kitchen area back into the main room looking for any signs of Allexa, if she is not there he heads back up the stairwell to where he last left her.

@Gu'Dan-

You head up out of the hatch and see Allexa sitting at a table, tweaking her brain out in one of the tables.

@Nordak-

You press the combinations of buttons and then the circle; a few gears turn but the door doesn't open.

Jeronis pushes 9 then 7 and then the circle..
