Have a look at:

and

http://www.gamebanshee.com/neverwintern ... woeast.php

That is the Rakshasa area, where you will find Linu and a chain.

This is what I get. It does not tell me how to get the magically locked door open. I'm in Room one and there is nothing in there that will allow me to open the door. I have looted everything.

2 - IMPOSTERS

An old man tells you that he is the leader of the slaves and that if you give him the portal activation stone you can free them. If you agree, the djinni pops out long enough to show you that the old man is actually another rakshasa. When you have killed him, loot the red chain off his corpse.

- PORTAL

If you use the activation stone you got from the djinni on the portal stone, it will open a portal between this room and an area just outside the Yawning Portal inn.

The door should open once you kill all the Rakshasa in that room. Do you have the portal stone on you? Not sure if you have to have that before the door opens, but I don't think you do.

I can't remember ever encountering a magically locked door between room 1 and 2. It might be worth starting a new thread specifically about this problem and see if anyone else knows what the problem is.

Mr Sir

Hi again. Well, I finally found the key. Some how I picked it up and dropped it in one of the corners in the room ???. ( Don't even ask )

Now there is some sort of sequence to the pool and the pedestals ( Pool to Yellow, Pool to Green ,etc ). Do I need to drop a stone in the pool also ??.

What is it ?.

Activate the pool then watch closely. I suggest pausing after every colour and writing them down. Above the pool you will see it give a colour, then briefly go white before giving another colour. It will do this until you have a sequence of 6 colours. Once it finishes the sequence, pull the coloured chains in the correct sequence of colours. If you do it correctly then the door will open. If not then a memphit/imp thing will spawn so you will have to kill it then do the whole pool thing again.

Already stumped. Down ( I guess ?) another level. Now I'm where the Free poeple ( not really ) live and have passed the gates to go into the underdark.

I'm now at the bridge that is to the "Beholders" .
There are a huge amount of buttons to push on this board.
A lot of Right and lefts and two large buttons in the center. What is the sequence with these ?.

( Side note ) When I rang the "Gong" the high priest came out and I volunteered to be taken. When I got there,, nothing happened. they just stood there looking at me. I could not use the mouse or anything. I just hit Exit and then the game started to play out. I killed him and his two side kicks

Is this a Glich in the game ??.

You have to press the buttons to get the picture to show a straight line (like a bridge).

Its supposed to be a cutscene where they decide to kill you anyway so you haven't missed anything by just killing them :)

Oh, Ok. I see how that is now.

The cut scene was in a stall or "locked up".

Thanks again

The drow mages can be a pain. If you have true seeing then use it so he cannot go invisible and then try to hit him as hard as you can to disrupt his spell casting. Also, if you have any items that give spell resistance, equip them as it always helps :)

Mr. Sir

I'm back. I am in the Area of the Illids (?) and talked to the Big Brain he told me to find a "Magic Mirror". But when I went outside to look for it every body turned RED ( Bad ) That killed any chance of the Big brain helping convince Elders to not support the Vasheeese (? God these names )

Should I head back into the underdark ?.

Don't worry about it - its because you were not wearing the special helmet that shields your thoughts so they know who you really are. Just kill the lot of them. You'll get some nice XP plus it won't have a major affect on the game, just a few extra enemies to fight later on but nothing that is all that hard.

The magic mirror is one of the powerful artifacts you have to find to help in the battle against the Drow forces. It is the item you get from one of the island areas in Chapter 2 (speak to the guy by the docks and he will take you to the islands by boat). Its not an item that is in the Mindflayer area.

That's cool !! I thought the game was just land battles. I had no Idea they used the water and you could sail away. Very nice touch.

Sir

I'm on the "Maker Island" and ran into the Robots (?). We wacked them a few times and one of them says "Near Death". Well,, something that is near death he sure takes a lot of hits and still keeps going. Did I pick the wrong Island ?.
