worth waiting for what? RAM or hard-drive didn't work.. disabling firewalls didn't work. updates don't work.. what's there to wait for? a miracle? i'd gladly accept one concerning the matter.. i had to register by using a gamecard, meaning i've paid for 3months already and the game doesn't work.. guess it's karma or smth like that..

This is why there's a market for Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, etc. It's easy, you know if you buy a game new, and you have a functional system, it works. No checking requirements, no hardware clashes, no problems. Pop the game in and you're good to go.

i agree lol, like with Doom3, didnt need to worry about the requirments

indeed..

guess i never even considered the possibility that a game that is so popular and played by millions there could be stuff like this that happens.. LOL imo that's poor work by blizzard.. rather lousy if you ask me

Bah for Doom 3. 'Twas a terrible waste of time on the part of the designers, and a horrid, unbearable shame with which they shall be forced to live with.

haven't played doom3.. i myself am not very keen about FPS demon killing.. far cry was excellent until they had to drag some mutants along.. it became doom then.. until that it was the best FPS i've ever played..

I was developing a game when they were finalizing Doom 3. Saw all the videos, and interviews with the mastermind behind the Doom series. This was supposed to be great, a step forward in gaming, and mindblowing. Noooo, it was just wonderful graphics. Half-life 2 on the other hand...that was an amazing breakthrough in how a game works, not just gory eye candy. Those boys did their homework.

is the environment in doom3 static?
hl2 was great.. and the amount of undead wasn't that bad since it was so seamlessly nitted into the plot.. finally a game where you fought against humans, not some mutations/aliens etc..

EDIT: Everyone's gone.. those who are here aren't posting.. good night all.. i certainly need some sleep..

Sleeping... a lot of people here are Europeans, and its 8:39 here in western Canada...so most of the will be waking up at the earliest around 2...for me, of course. :p

This place has really been quiet for the last couple of hours though...your right. :)
