BS,

Through much experimentation I've figured out a way to pipe the electric shine across data lines. All of SYM has my shine coursing through their veins and seeing bunnies. Naturally, those that post more often, 2000 **ahem** 2000, should find their den, bedroom, whatever room the computer is in, infected with bunnies. Someone should really look in on Mr. Sleep. He could be really confused with all the bunnies surrounding him.

Good work Ned. Don't worry about Sleep though, he is naturally confused. (it's the pressure of the mods) That would explain the lack of sleep on my part, as my room seems to be packed full of the damn little fluffy hellions.

What the hell though? Time for some more shine.

O.o ;; I don't see any bunnies. :( :(

I am wondering why there are a bunch of naked chibis dancing around my room, though.

Good :D

Well, as my job is distinctly boring and mundane, I am gonna hang around and drink beer in here. Maybe someone will show up. :D

Excellent Smithers, the effects of Plan B are accelerating more rapidly than expected. Clearly a case of meticulous planning and perfection in execution. Today is the day where the world of SYM will be turned upside down. BS, release the crocs. Get Aegis to assemble the bears and turn them loose amidst the gaming forums. Send Nippy over to the tech support forum informing all that their computers need to cleansed and should be put in the washing machine immediately. I'll keep pumping the electric shine over the Internet.

Bunny, Bunny, Bunny!!

hmmmm, pure unadulterated mayhem......

works for me! :D Especially since I have absolutly nothing to to at work today. Somebody remind me again why I went into network administration?

BTW Ned, pumping all that shine is thirsty work, how about a little drink?

BS,

A drink sounds good.

As a fellow net admin, those nice easy days are payback for the days when you have five different things continuously happening for twelve consecutive hours.

Ex: The CEO's PC cannot connect to the network.
There are some unexplainable dead links on your web site that shouldn't be dead.
A user is having problems attaching that new virus to an email.
Another user just executed that same viral attachment.
You just got the new KVM switches for QA and they are screaming at you to get them ready.

**take a breath**

You just got the ceo's PC connected but now it appears the engineering subnet is down. You'll get to it as soon as you contact that dude in web services to ask about the links on the web site. Oops, you just received an email with a known virus from an employee a few cubes down from you.

See what I mean. I like to call these days snowballs, perhaps because I live in Minnesota and perhaps because it feels like getting pelted all day long.

So when there's nothing to do, I call those 'in-house holidays, and I spend a lot of time of game banshee and surfing everywhere else. Today is not an easy day but I'm on lunch and try to check in on you as often as possible to make sure you're not drinking alone. Whew, winded. How's Arcanum, did you get my PM???

I did get your pm, haven't had time to check the game out though. I have a really crappy network conection at the house though, but am going to try to get DSL next month.

I am still earlly in Arcanum. There is a long history of conspiracy whenever I start a new game. I can have tons of free time till I load it in my system, then, miraculously, I have a thousand thing that have to be done yesterady.

But I will finish the game, and Icewind Dale, and do it all before I sober up. :D

You network guys have all the fun.

No wonder you have 1000 and 2000 posts.

Of course, a drink is always a good thing.

I picked up Icewind Dale, and just started playing. The question I have is should I play Civ 3, or IWD?

personally, I like them both, but prefer Icewind Dale. That said, everytime I install the damn thing, I play through probably a quarter of the game, and something will cause me to have to wipe my hard drive without being able to recover my saves first. The game is cursed I tell you.

Of course, being the intelligant person I am, I have started keeping weekly saves of my game, and, you guessed it, I have had no problems at all. My computer is a reall smart ass.

Although it IS fun to smite the world in Civ.

I think I was going about civ 3 wrong. The farther along I was in dominating the world, the more bored I became. I must have had too many workers, because the automated turns took forever. I guess world domination requires patience. ;)

That is a big hassle towards the end of the game. But, a small price to pay in the name of genocide. :D

I am currently considering breaking something here so I will have something to do the rest of the day. If not, I will just stay here and drink.

BTW, what civ do you play as?

I have played a few, right now I am France and have recently completed the annihilation of Germany, England is next! - Elizabeth really needs to be put in her place. Milk bath my arse. :D

I am playing on the warlord level.

I finished IWD:HoW the other night, but still need to finish IWD. My biggest problem right now, though, is that I lost my save game from BG2, so I've started over in BG1 and going to go through it then BG2 again. But homework is making it hard to have time to play. :(

Hey!
I usually play the Germans or the Babylonians and sometimes the Persians or Chinese.
Now the Chinese are really powerful with patch 1.17.
You can uprgrade your horsemen to riders now and then upgrade those guys to cavalry! The UU's don't block the upgrade path anymore!

The game is quite tough. I'm having trouble playing Regent :p . In civ 2 i was playing up to emperor!

Cheiftan i easily mastered. Warlord is a nice challenge. I always start of behind in tech but through trading i get infront in the middle ages.
The best way to trade techs in higher levels is to go the tech path that the AI doesn't.
In ancient era AI heads towards republic/horseback riding/currency. So head for monarchy and trade.
Also the AI tends to go and research the extra techs(the ones not required to be researched).
In the Middle ages the AI heads towards Free Artistry and Navigation. So go for Military Tradition. (I often find the AI is desperate for Metallurgy)
In Industrial era, the AI researches Communism and Espionage.

@ Thorin,

Is the AI that consistently predictable. If it is, what a bummer. Also, I haven't played civ since civ 1. When I played, I usually played and had about four or five computer civilizations. Do they all follow the same track.
