I know, Ode, I'm just not in the mood for a rainy day today... I get the same feeling you describe in winter when there's a big carpet of snow outside and it's still snowing heavily and I'm inside, where it's nice and warm, just looking outside ** takes another drink from his "herbal tea" ** But right now, it's supposed to be summer... let's hope the weather changes, when I take a holiday.

**pops in and gets some "herbal tea"**
Hi mates, the weather is gorgeous here, and I have to sit in the office. I
HATES that...
So what are the plans in your (and our) near future ? Ready to go for another DF entry? I could work a little on the last versionyou mailed me - today in the evening or tomorrow...

Hi Beldin - perfect pool weather for you, then. Just hang in there, knowing you'll get to
relax later on. Women still in the same mood over there
? I'm planning to get a one-week-holiday the 5th of August. No plans on going anywhere, though. As far as the DF story is concerned, I haven't had a chance to write more, yet. Feel free to change/add to the last version as you see fit. I'll write some more tonight too, then (once we've posted enough, perhaps we should find a way to compile the SLURR merchant story). Don't know if I'll have much time in the weekend (I'm - hopefully - getting Neverwinter Nights). I'll do my best
** takes another drink from his mug **

I love snow, I've only ever seen it once in France but it was just great IMO. I wish Australia got snow in winter.
**sips his 'herbal' tea**
That would suck @Beldin, lucky you've got your pool for when you get home, aye?

Beldin:
Right U R @Eerhardt - but I fear the good weather will come to an end today or tomorrow - I just saw the Meteosat picture - and there are clouds comeing my way
....
@Ode: Snow sucks. I hate snow. I'm just not "made" for this latitude....I'm physically and mentally better equipped to deal with the carribean climate....Austria is just to damn cold for me.... except in the middle of summer - like NOW ...
BTW @Ode & E-man: - I will be on a holiday from the 1st of August to the 21st of August (3 weeks !
) . I won't go anywhere (just in my garden) , but I'll only be online when the weather's bad.... just FYI..
**finishes his herbal tea, and drinks a beer while waiting for the herbs to take effect**

Should come and see Oz then @Beldin. Aside from the middle of winter (now
) it's not cold at all.
I don't normally deal with the cold that well, but I was fine with snow.
3 weeks off-sounds good for you, mate
. Professor E and I can hold the fort okay in your absence, though obviously things won't be the same without you.

Beldin:
Just mail me in case of emrgency - I've made a practice of checking my mail on a daily basis....otherwise my accounts tend to overflow
...
No worries, you'll do allright ...
Beldin
**takes another beer , so the first one doesn't feel lonely**
EDIT - I'll come to Oz some time in the future, just now I'm totally broke, cause of haveing 2 children and building first a house and then a pool...

What's the matter Fas ? What's happening to you ?

You designed your house yourself @Beldin?
Custom-designed houses are the only way to go IMO, but as you say they're that much more expensive.
2 kids will always put a strain on the expenses. I guess it's worth it though, otherwise people wouldn't have more than one child.
I get the feeling I'll probably stop at one child myself, when I eventually get around to settling down and having a family.
Hi Fas. What does Fas stand for, BTW?

Well i am being moody.
I tend to be very emotionally stable.
Dont have mood swings or nothing.
But these days i just want to get away from all my friends.
Even the really close ones.
I bearly answer my phone when people call or if they do i am short and curt.
This also stems from the fact that i have had very little sleep the past couple of days.
4 hours a night.
Then there is work, so i dont get to see friends all that much either.
I was looking forward to the weekend where me and my friends would hook up and have a bash before most of them leave.
But now even that does look like it is worth it.
To add to that, my group of friends is going through a lot of back biting and pissing each other off stage.
I am staying out of it, even though i have been dragged in twice.
And the problem on top of that is that i am the only one who keeps his-her mouth shut.
So i basically a confident to all, and i hear friends dump on mutual friends.
I abhor back biting.
I say if you dont like the person or a quality tell him or her.
It is better than making fun of your friends behind their backs.
I am the only who seems to realise that.
It is not a very nice thing, i get caught in the middle between 2 friends (actually it is a huge group of nearly 10 people) and i dont want to be there.
So i am staying away, but i get called and stuff....
Plus it is also the thing, that most of my really good friends will be leaving and i am a bit upset about seeing them go...as then i have to readjust make new friends etc.
That and other stuff i have to figure out.
I am just depressed at points....though i dont show it....which is a bad thing i have been told.

Fas are my initials.
My first name starts with F
Mid name with A
and last name with S.
But my real name is Faisal...so it becomes my nick name.
Or Faisi as my sister and a really close friend call me.

Not entirely correct - at least here it is cheaper to build a house than to buy one....at least if you want more than 80m² living space in the house....
I was VERY surprised when I discovered in the U.S. that houses (at least in SW-Florida) are much cheaper than even an appartement in Vienna.

Sounds nasty, Fas. I sort of went through that a while back, but they weren't close friends, which made it better IMO as I could just go and hang out with other friends until it all blew over.
EDIT-Over here building a house is much more expensive than buying one, but buildiing is the only way to be sure of getting a house that is the way you like it. The first house I ever lived in was designed by my parents.
On the plus side, real estate is very cheap in Western Australia compared to most countries, and even compared to the Eastern States of Oz. And the houses tend to be more spacious than in Europe, that's for sure.

The problem is that my group of friends are pretty close knit.
We have been friends for nearly 4 years straight.
I am actually pretty normal with friends i dont hang out with, which is weird....
But oh well it will blow over.
Stiff upper lip and stuff...

Sorry to hear, Fas - I hope the dust settles soon ** finishes his cup of "herbal tea" ** @Beldin: if I get my holiday, we'll both be absent the week from the 5th of August. I'll try checking in on the Rolling Thunder on Wednesday then and check my mail every day too. You need a holiday badly too
?

I'm barely hanging on 'till it rolls around....**sigh** ....I just hope the weather holds
...
**downs his 2nd beer and starts on a 3rd one to go and look after the other two**
EDIT - @Fas - no worries, either it'll pass or you'll just "grow out" of this friendship and develop others....it happens from time to time in our lives...
