@Fiona *peers at the screen* *sip* *nods sagely* Must be time for bed soon, still haven't gotten used to the clocks moving forward.
I needn't have bothered asking Mag

Let us talk about something more mundane then, how is your financial situation

?
EDIT: thanks for making the error more obvious Fiona, but I'm not that far gone yet

It's more fun with a back and forth motion.

 She's older, that's about as far as I'm going. Finances suck, too much money spent on liqour this past month. Job is decent though. Yourself?
@ Darzog. I didn't know "abdication of responsibility" was a foreign phrase
If you think that "I did not come up the Clyde on a jaffa cake" translates to "abdication of responsibility" then you ARE speaking a foreign language. And just for the record, that mamby-pamby Queen's English IS a foreign language. I speak American gull-darnit!

Oh, I see  No that is just the explanation for my refusal to allow the abdication
And I do not speak the Queen's English, I speak Glaswegian

@Mag: Got me a new job, and I'm off to London from Sunday to Tuesday for some sort of marketing gig. Only been working there for two weeks, but my manager for some odd reason is really impressed with me. Must be the exception that proves the rule. So hopefully finances will be working out a bit better soonish - was able to pay the rent on time for the first time in yonks last week.
As for booze expenses, I'm going to discipline my self this weekend and drink indoors to save a bit of cash - so I can go on a massive bender after my London excursion

Plus I've been forced onto handrolling my cigarettes now, tragically - tax on cigs in the UK went up 9p last week, shattering my carefully calculated budget.
But, meh, money could be (and has been worse). Just glad I was able to get another job, not much work round here at the mo.

Yeah, I should have thought that phrase through a little better, shouldn't I?
Well I think I'm off to tell my boss I'm leaving early. That way I can stop by the store and still be home for my 6pm conference call. Take it easy everyone.

Yes Kitten, the Queen sent me a letter. I should punish you. :mischief:
@ Denethorn, A good, new job is really hard to find. That's great!

I'm being trained to do my bosses job for minimum wage at the moment.

I figure, worst case scenario, I'm being trained in management, just don't have the title. I can always find a better job if it doesn't pay off down the road.
I decided to stop with the drinking for a bit. To be honest, I miss sober me. I've no clue how long it'll last but I think I'll wait until the end of June or so before drinking again and seeing whether I've missed it or not. It should save me a ton of money. I do enjoy drinking though, so I'm assuming I'll go back to recreational drinking after my break occurs. I've done it before and it'll probably happen again.
@ Darzog, Night! Good luck with the sick wife deal.

That's a shame. I'm out of cola now too.
I did absolutely NOTHING all day and was a lazy bastard. Go me.
@ Denethorn, Night. Have fun with the drinking, the spam does slow the drinking.
@ Fiona, It was a baited question dear.

*sighs* It's so much harder to amuse myself without alcohol. I must actually be creative and stuff.
