Okaaay here it goes:
"I am assured that this story is true.
A man called up his computer helpline complaining that the cupholder on his pc has snapped off and he wants to know how it gets fixed.
'Cupholder?' says the computer helpline person, puzzled. 'I'm sorry sir, but i'm confused. Did you buy this cupholder at a computer show or recieve it as a special promotion?'
'No, it came part of the computer'
'But our computers don't come with cupholders'
'Well pardon me friend, but they do,' says the man a bit hotly,'I'm looking at mine right now. You push the button at the base of the machine and it slides out.'
The man it transpired had been using his CD drawer to hold his coffee cup."

Works for me. I'd love to see a little leveling of the playing field between the disgustingly wealthy and the plain disgusting. ;)

Well, at least I got some replies, some were even serious. :D Anyways, now that we're on the topic of how good or powerful God is, I will put my two cents in the form of one of my favorite quotes:

"God either wants to eliminate bad things and cannot, or can but does not want to, or neither wishes to nor can, or both wants to and can. If he wants to and cannot, he is weak--and this does not apply to god. if he can but does not want to, then he is spiteful--which is equally foreign to god's nature. If he neither wants to nor can, he is both weak and spiteful and so not a god. If he wants to and can, which is the only thing fitting for a god, where then do bad things come from? Or why does he not eliminate them?"
-Epicurus

I think that sums it up pretty well. Anyone else?

"Lets see. Thorin is god. Worship him. He's a great god" -Churchill.
Nice quote. I quite like it.

Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite, they'll give you a fright, thats right, a fright, and turn off the light.

Well since Garcia linked to this in my thread Reactions to Bush's Speach I feel obligated to add in my 2 cents. I am a pagan, we (I) do not really believe in a god or any power up above but worship nature and life. The many gods we (I) worship are just symbols for different aspects of life. I come from a long line of pagans, and face many troubles because of my beliefs. People shun and fear pagans even today, but hey at least were not being burned at the stake anymore right.

LOL GARCIA, paganism is the first religion. I live in norther califonria (USA), you didn't do a very good job studying religion if you dont know what a pagan is... no offence. Also i am more specifically a Wiccan, do you know what that is?

Don't be a .... , be yourselve. Religions only seperates us. (not directed at anyone)

I don't like following rituals or beleves ect. that someone else has made that I then just have to follow.

Don't get me wrong, if you wanna beleve, beleve. Religion is just not for me.

This board has been a great comfort to many people over the last 24 hours, right now my faith is in the good of human nature... :)

Just an observation though, regarding this thread being bumped, I think it would be advisable to take care how phrase our posts here in view of the current situation.

This is directed at absolutely no-one, but right now fingers are pointing at religious fanatics around the world for the tragedy in the US.... :(

I hope we can stay friendly in here as emotions are running very high... :) Just my thoughts... :)
