Well for one you are on the wrong thread for such a question...lol. But to answer you....to get your prestige class you need to be 15th level and showing a firm leaning towards dark or light alignment, then go back into the Ebon Hawk and talk to Keria. You will get a dialog where she asks you which path you wish to pursue.

you dont even have to go back to the EH. As soon as you get the level up for level 15, plonlk her in your group, level up and talk to her. You will gain another level. So as not to waste any EXp points, best to do it immediately.

I want the game to be
1) Real Time.
2) I want to be able to choose what race and class I play as. Not just jedi classes.
3) I want the style of game to change depending on the class I pick. Like an FPS if I become a bounty-hunter or a trooper, and an action game if I'm a jedi.
4) i want us to be able to explore vertically as well. Flying using jetpacks, the force etc.

Ok almost everything u said you wanted is not possible:
1) Real Time meaing what exactly - you mean you attack and your character attacks, wait that happends
2) The purpose of the game is to be a Jedi Game Star Wars has always been Jedi and Sith specific - fine if you want to be a Soldier instead of a Jedi (no lightsaber alities) but you can be basically one now. They are not going to make plot specific for a trooper.
3) If you are a trooper or bounty hunter it would drastically change the game from being a Jedi. Not just simple ok instead of fighting sith to joining them but completely new game. The entire game is RPG not action or shooter.
4) This is the only half valid idea because it would give you give you some fun. You would fly jet packs up but there is no real point in this idea because there are no flying cities (except Curracant(sp?) kindof). Then what would happen if you fell down without a jetpack, didnt have one yet, or it ran out of feul? It is also not practical because there would be no delayed area - you could fly over the crashed spaceship to 3 levels ahead and get inbehind the boss of the game.
The only way to get what you wanted is to play a completely different kind of Star Wars game. May I suggest (given your ideas) SW: Jedi Outcast.

You do have a point there Tovec, It would kinda turn it into a different game with the flying thing. Elite Force is a good game (not SW) ou can get jetpacks in that. Good Storyline as well.

What I want in KotOR III

In KotOR III I want these things,

Worlds:

Manaan
Korriban
Kashyyyk
Taris
Yavin
Rakatan homeworld- Star Forge system
Onderon
Tatooine
Corusant
Other Core worlds

New Space stations
New Worlds

Characters:

Atton
Carth
T3-M4

Mandalore-Canderous
Bao-Dur
Zaalbar---no matter what
Jolee
Bastila---no matter what
Mira
Mission

Choice:

To play as a Revan, Bastila, or the Exile as teachers or masters
OR to play as a New Recruit, Handmaiden, or Atton as students

Better Combat AI:

The battle stance thing did not excatly work

More Adult Themes:

Less hitting and more sexual activity

Of course more:

Better Graphics
More History
More Battle Features (ex. feats, force powers, disciplines, and shields)
Smoother actions (ex. exiting battles and area transfers / loading)

By the way I am new to these forums and i have mastered Kotor I beating it over 50 times now and Kotor II I am have only beat twice but iam working on it. I have beaten many RPGs multiple times each. I tend to go neutral / light
side on all games, but have played as a dark character mant times. I read and write Sci-fi under many pen names and i am very addicted to the the genre.xxx

oh man

I personally liked Revan as a character a whole lot more than the exile, so ideally, I'd like to play as Revan again. But I predict that we'll be a whole new character for KOTOR III, since it'd be kind of weird to start out as a character we'd already leveled up and is all powerful and stuff. So, here's what I'd like:

reappearances by Revan, Carth, and Bastila from KOTOR I, and the exile, Atton, and Mira from KOTOR II.

new planets, but also reappearances of some of the old ones, like Kashyyyk, Dxun, and Telos.

I think a sweet plot would have something to do with rebuilding the Jedi Order, and our new character could be a new recruit or something.

Definitely a new game engine. And definitely more romance options.

Now, here's a thought--for Revan and the exile to appear, won't we need to select their gender and light/dark side alignment? I know you did this to an extent for KOTOR II regarding Revan, but for Revan and the exile to be more prominent in KOTOR III, we'll need to take these into account, which will also reflect the Revan/Carth or Revan/Bastila and exile/Atton or exile/Handmaiden romances.

I'm so excited for this next installment. It needs to come out like NOW.

I think if Obsidian were to take all the suggestions for KOTOR III on board, it would be a game fifteen years in the making and would be so vastly complex that it would quickly puzzle, bore and irrititate those who played it. An RPG is exactly what it says it is a 'role-playing' game... you play a role in a story.

To that end, yes, it should be a very open-ended story with several different interesting and fulfilling endings (not like KOTOR II). Should it be completely open? No - I have an idea of how complicated that would be and do not like the idea of it taking another five years to implement.

Better graphics? Come on, people - wake up and smell the humous... KOTOR I and II essentially used the same engine for a reason. The XBox. Were it not for the out-moded, over-sized and initially over-priced piece of Microsoft genius, the graphics engine for KOTOR II would have been something a bit more interesting. Luckily for us, XBox 2 is just around the corner and will allow for a much more interesting graphical implementation... "But it should be scalar!" I hear you cry - sure thing, just give them half a decade to make it as per Half Life 2 and it will suit all and sundry from GameBoy Advance users to those who use SLi-capable Athlon FX systems. Hopefully XBox 2 or PS3 will take console gaming to another level - past current high-level PCs - to allow developers to improve game engines for years to come (and not just add in reflections, simple particle effects, etc.). This will, however, be severely limited by the TV and its resolution of 640 x 480 or whatever it currently is. HDTV is needed to make the required leaps and bounds that console gaming really needs.

Adjustable characters, etc.? Play Star Wars Galazies... I've not played that game specifically because it looks suspiciously like the one a lot of you are pining for.

More balanced characters? Sure, the NPCs could do with a bit more thought in their implementation, but you want the battles to be harder? Something tells me that if Yoda/Darth Vader sqaured up against almost any other Jedi/Sith/squaddie, the meeting would be rather brief. So is the case for the Exile - by the end of the game, he's past his former self regarding powers and is therefore a force to be reckoned with regardless. As Atton alludes to when revealing his back ground, you can't kill a Jedi very easily with a blaster...

A more complete story is definately a must - while I actually found 98% of KOTOR II to be completely enthralling and immersive as a story, there is no excuse for the random tangents and mini-missions involving certain characters in the final stages of the game. And give KOTOR III a "Wow" ending to the game. Or at least just show what happens to the character.

I think the storyline will - if it's related to the current one - revolve loosely around one of the characters from KOTOR II... one of the NPCs with latent force ability, for instance. To be honest, I'm not really fussed - I would enjoy playing a game with a very similar story to KOTOR I and II if it meant more Star Wars KOTOR-type action.

As to abilities and whatnot, I think something that is missing from Force powers is the ability to pick up and throw objects with the Force - lightsabers aside, there isn't much of that sort of unpleasant behaviour in KOTOR so far... bring on clicking on an object (or even person) and the intended target of the aggression and watch as rag-doll physics rears its highly amusing head. Considering Darth Vader almost killed Luke using said power and Count Douku used it again to get away from Yoda.

The story should be focused on some guy or gal (i.e. You) traveling across the galaxy looking for clues to find Revan and the Exile. Along the way you meet Bastila, Canderous and the others and you travel through the Sith Empire. As you travel you begin to realize that the sith the republic fought were ****ies compared to the real sith. In the end all the characters die and and the sith destroy themselves in a huge battle (with only a few of the weaker sith escaping) and the republic remains obliviuos to how strong the sith really were.

More Gore

I would like to see some more realistic damage in Kotor III - ie what could constitute a gore mode as in previous Lucasarts games, the lightsaber was able to slice away knocking off limbs but due to a lightsabers specs of damage, there was no real blood if that is a problem with getting it past certian industry rules - even if it was something that could be unlocked with code.

So the ability to hit an opponent and lop off either limbs, torso or head, even a lunge that would leave a hole Id like to see for the evil fun of repetitive combat. Even extended past Lsabers to mines/grenades and powerful force uses. And overhaul of combat moves and weapon damage - even martial arts specialisations.

And the big one Id like to see in Kotor III

Playing as a wookiee char, you can "delimb" opponents mohahaha and if not opponents, then at least droids, arms, legs and head *pock* *pock*!

addtional: Oh yes - an influence meter could work well if that system will be used in K3. Could be incorporated into the character profile Light/dark alignment as a seperate bar from red to blue

Minor one here, at least to some:

If you decide to use a name generated by the system (rather than one that you create yourself), it would be nice to have at least ONE person call you that at some point.

In the first one, you weren't really anything until the Spoiler. In the second one, you're "the exile" the entire time.

Who WOULDN'T want the Handmaiden to call you by your name when she decides to become a Jedi?

Of course, that would involve the voice talent to recite all of those names. But it would certainly add a little bit to the experience.

Which reminds me...anyone else here pissed that you can't use the force to open footlockers, et al, by way of a force power?

--Character/Story line--
The main character should start out as a child. I want to see the Jedi scouting me as a child, pick me up, and train me. I wouldn’t mind it just being a movie sequence. I want to actually see how the Jedi go through the recruiting process. No more adults/exiles being trained/learning the force. Let’s do it as it’s supposed to be. You should also be different species. Not all Jedi are human, let’s be anyone we want.

First, you start out as a Padawan. You’re now obviously older then a child, but are still in training. You and your Master do a few missions (nothing huge to start the game) which will lead to the plot later in the game. You solve a mystery of some sort (which could lead to figuring out what happened to Revan or where he went, doesn’t matter) and your master is killed in the final battle of these short missions. You defend yourself and get away (or kill someone). You later return to Coruscant with information and news. You ask to take the trials, become a Jedi Knight. Do a mission or so, then return. With all this information, the real game begins. You’re given an assignment, and off we go.

Something optional could be you get a Padawan of your own. As someone suggested, it’s a non-playable character that travels and learns with you. This way, K4 would have an automatic character from the start. He shouldn’t be a little kid, but perhaps he needs a new master after his dies (could be anything, just throwing an example out) At the end of the game, the Padawan becomes a Jedi Knight (no matter if you go light side or dark side, he stays light this time).

The story line should tie #1 and #2 together as well. Fix all the bugs, and give us a story… Don’t half ass this game.

If we’re tying #1 and #2 together, we should pick what took place in those games. The Jedi could give you a history lesson or something. During that sequence you could be given options of what happens.

EX. Revan was a dark Jedi. Bastilla captured Revan and the counsel replaced his memories because his mind was destroyed. During his rehabilitation, Revan discovered he was once the dark lord of the Sith. During his journey to stop the Sith, Malak captured Bastilla, and turned her to the dark side. Revan then joined with Bastilla to stop Malak.

A. Revan fell back to the dark side, and with Bastilla, killed Malak and reclaimed the title of the dark lord of the Sith, with Bastilla as his apprentice.

B. Revan turned Bastilla back to the light side, and together destroyed the dark lord of the Sith, Malak. Realizing there were hidden dangerous in the outer rim, Revan left to destroy the true Sith.

The story is shaped from there, and during your quest, you can become a Jedi or a Sith (like always). You can do the same for the Exile. They don’t HAVE TO BE a major plot factor, but it would be nice to have some closure.

DUMP the random item thing. It’s lame…
Maybe some transportation, other then walking. Not a big deal though.
Also, NO romance… The Jedi forbids it. I don’t understand why it’s even important.

-Customization-
EVERYTHING… From Light saber hilts, to character features. I want to make this game my own, and unique from anyone else’s. I also would like to see robes with hoods, which could be removed and put on anytime you want. It's just something that I would want. You're not really suppose to be fluanting your identity to begin with.

-Worlds-
I would like the game to be longer, and have all world be a lot less restricted. You can do anything, or say anything to anyone. I would like to see more worlds, and new worlds. Coruscant is a must, no questions asked.

-No more Turn based fighting-
The one thing that ROTS has going, is awesome fighting ability. The combat is stylish and adds character to the game. Jade Empire was fine without turn based fighting, and it’s fair to say we can dump it. I don’t hate the TB fighting, and could live with it. I would prefer it be left behind though.

No Romances?!?

OK, in KOTOR III there HAS TO BE Romances! It is a nessessary aspect to the game. However the romances would be better if they showed 'lustful' love for another char. The general/simple intertwined love for all chars. is ok. The ones who feel the call of love should start to slip more into the DS and have to (depending on who they love) work on staying LS. If the romance is towards a DS player then it would become more like players in love vs. the rest of the crew. If LS then they all become closer.

Like the child aspect as I have said and the Padawan aspect as I have said. Think the child beginning should be movie sequence and that maybe (depending on time after KOTOR I) Revan could be Jedi younger/at same age of you so trained at same time at same academy. Show more of a connection to the Exile and Revan with 3rd player like if meet before wars as children or whatever. The opening sequence (where you select how you look) should have a Revan and Exile options in the same way (but less extensive).

It would also make sense that if DS the crew would start becomming more cold and action oriented. Like battle stances would start to change and thier comments would become more hateful and personal. The crew would give themselves bonuses and become individually stronger. If LS then the crew would start giveing more bonuses to eachother. They would work better in tandum and as a group. Also it would be cool if they started to create extra combos and feats if in same current party. Like if always use Kreia and Handmaiden then they would start to respect each other and give bonus feats (ie. Handmaiden gives Kreia extra on handed bonus feats when in same party).

Very great point, I have been thinking on that same way. Your party should also have some kind of decision as to what there alignment should be, but either way they should still follow you. And here is another idea, if you are a dark sider and one of your npc's are a light sider, then they should be less willing to fight with you. Same thing with the oppisite alignment. Also, whil we're on the subject on Romances, I'm not to sure that I agree with you there, If you are a light sider then you should love them only a bit, in fear of turning to the dark, but also fear turns to the dark side... But if you are a sith, I really think that you and your supposed lover should really become more passionate, i.e the sith code and what not. But the thing about a light sider and romance to me is quite questionable. I can't help but think of the Jedi code when it comes to Light Siders and Romance. I think that it is some kind of possible mess up. But dar siders and romance (if ou think of it from a certain point of view) doesn't really sound right either, but in the case of a sith it kinda does.Another thing that would be cool, is that you could be able to pick your party members, like just some random Pedestrien (sp?), instead of having them give you all the charecters. Also a more deeper and closer relationship with your npc's I think would be better; Like for Bao-dur, I didn't get a chance to talk to him a whole lot on the mandalorian wars beacuse of the amount of Influence on him that I lost Due to the fact that it didn't make it any obviouse (sp?) that he could also hold any details about my past what so ever.

Exile and Revan together (spoilers)

maybe the KOTOR III storyline should continue with Revan and the exile. The Exile leaves for the outer regions with Revan, to search for the remnants of the Sith empire, and defeat them.

The storyline is you, along with Revan go out to the unkown regions, gathering party along the way.

I'm not sure if it would work though, considering all the storline options in the first two games.

As far as planets go, I really want to go to Cinnagar, have something happen with the Krath.

I want the lightsabre forms to look different depending on which one you use. Lastly, I want the returns of Mandalore (Canderous), Bao-Dur, Atton, T3-M4, and, of course, HK-47. None of those die in any options in the others, you could bring them back.

But... if they don't bring back either Revan or the Exile, I see no point in keeping it in the same time period. Maybe advance it a little bit. A rebuilt Jedi order, a new Sith, that kind of thing.

I have read all KOTOR III sugestions over and over and no one has ever mentioned setting it in another time frame. It would work if done properly. KOTOR II is set like 5 years after KOTOR I, I don't see why they can't set KOTOR III like 20 years after. If they did they could engeneer more aspects into the story that people seem to want. Most nuetral people (Not strongly in favour of LS or DS Revan and Exiles.) agree that there needs to be a rebuilt jedi council. If they set it years later then this is definately possible. They could have the True Sith issue resolved by Revan or Exile and be in the process of rebuilding and training new Jedi. New Jedi would include the newest KOTOR main character - you. They would train you from a kid, how it is supposed to be. Also there wouldn't be any more the entire Galaxy is in your hands plot but a find the Sith and Destroy them. At the end of the game LS or DS a new Sith threat would rise because they are never truely defeated. The don't base it entirely on Revan and Exile (like 3 days after Exile leaves) idea is a good one.

Tovec's idea's a nice one. would be fun to be a 8 yr old doing force storm :D .
I havent bothered to read all that much on this particular subject but due to the fact that in KOTOR 2 u get to TALK about all out wars I'd like to see a bit where its total battle. Probably a rtidiculous request but i have have an odd mind.

second of all when u make a lightsaber (if u do) u actually have 2 put it together and adjust saber length/width etc. Lightsaber screw ups as well because if u read 'Young Jedi Knights' In the second book the girl with the purple lightsaber, had a weak one and it fuzzes out during traing and she gets her hand cut off. More complexities tend to make me think games are funner.

both are ridiculous requests but thats just me :D

EDIT: and if ur gonna have romance plots AND different choice in race then have different romances with different people. I cant quite imagine one of those tentacle heads having a relationship with a Twi'lek

EDIT(AGAIN): just saying so but it might be fun startin off as one of those dark jedi that 'miraculously' survived Malachor V after the exile rampaged round the academy or one that left by a escape pod on nihilus' ship

This is similar to an interesting idea that I have had. Instead of being originally trained by the Jedi you are trained by the Sith. Throughout the course of the game you naturally can pick your allignment but the odds would be stacked against you being able to help the Jedi and even higher against them helping/believing you. This would be an interesting dynamic because it would allow for a Revan master and Exile/Bastilla apprentise returning form the True Sith fight years later and needing new Sith recruits to attack the fledgeling REpublic that has had time to rebuild.
