Westan nods then continues jokingly,

I'll get that dwarf and then return. Make sure you don't lay traps that we might fall into while we return! He is missing from some time anyway, I hope he didn't got himself into some trouble. As agile as he is, sometimes you cannot be careful enough.

Intelligence roll: 1d20+3=15

OOC: Is this for finding the way through the corridors? I thought that Knowledge: Dungeoneering applies in that case. Either way, my roll is above. Also, I wanted to know where is Ellie relative to my position. She is searching for us so we should meet I believe. She also yelled after Dannis on the corridors, we didn't hear her?

Akumo nods, and looks at the other human the one he assumes to be Ehren "Ya Ehren right? the one thats all weepy about sum weapon right? Don't worry, that pretty she dwarf Elliah got it me thinks"

"I'll be seeing ya bwhaha!"

The red haired Dwarf draws the signal whissled, he blows the tiny object once and darts of for the burnt house.

Once at the trapdoor, Akumo taps the floor door twice.

"Tis me, open up..."

Shar'ra, you've proven to me that your words are true. If you desire, I can get you the meeting with Her Majesty you requested."
"I thank you, but allow me to finish what I've started here.

I will help investigate Jerruk's house with Ehren while you take care of the bulk of any fodder they may have."

I leave with Ehren, assuming he follows, to Jerruk's place.

Before leaving with Shar'ra Ehren turns to Captain Varynn once more,
"Is there somekind of writ or proclamation you could give me that says I am allowed to cast, as the gaurds in the district we are heading to have yet to learn of our association with you and some kind of proof will help clear up any doubts. And Is Jerruk supposed to be on duty at the moment?"

Whatever the response Ehren sets off with Shar'ra towards Jerruks' place.
"We need a plan. Our goal is information, correct?"

"Our goal is espionage, we are breaking into Jerruk's house for proof he is not a loyalist.

We have the law on our side too, so lets not waste time with subtleties and subterfuge, I'll just burn the damn door down if I have to."

For the first time today Ehren cracks a smile. "I think we're finally on the same page, though leave gaining entrance to me. Fire is too destructive and uncontrollable, and we may end up destroying the very information we are here for. Trust me, if Jerruk is at home and witnesses my entry he'll be ready to confess all he knows."

Akumo

"Open the door, he's with us," you hear a muffles voice saying. The door opens a few moments later, a loyalist guard ushering you inside.

Morvahn stands a few feet away. "Where's Dannis? What in the hells is going on here?" he demands.

Westan

(No, Knowledge (Dungeoneering) covers "aberrations, caverns, oozes, (and) spelunking." This roll is just to see if your character succesfully memorized the way through the many hallways.)

You remember the route perfectly, and arrive at the trap door room just as Akumo is let in.

Ehren and Shar'ra

The two of you hasten to Jerruk's house via the most direct route, throwing secrecy to the winds. The journey is not long; unsurprisingly, Jerruk lives only a few blocks from the derelict house.

Two men are stationed at his door, under a small canopy to protect themselves from the oppressive midday heat. Upon noticing you, they snap to attention.

"Halt!" one draws his weapon, clearly trying to look professional. "This here's private property, you have no business here. Leave before me and my friend decide to make an example out of you!"

"Don't play games with us," I say. "We know exactly who you are, Loyalists to the king.

Lets just see how loyal you are though. You've got two options, tell us all you know of Jerruk's involvement with Morvahn and other Loyalists, let us by, and then run away with your lives in tact.

Or, if you feel like testing the power of a dragon king," I say, flames pouring out, "By all means, make my day!"

Akumo drops in and sits.

"Shh, there's a bunch of guards out there... they be looking for trouble and no amount of gold is gonna make them hide their blades... I tried to count a number, by my guess and from the looks of thing theres more than fifty boys out there looking for blood"

Sitting down with his back against the wall Akumo keeps talking "They be looking for someone or something, one even whispered that the fellow you want us watching is very keen on finding it..."

"We should lay low, here or somewhere else... but for tonight we should keep out of the streets"

(Don't know if I should roll a bluff check, if I have just roll it for me Annette)

((Wait wait wait...where on earth is Akumo? In the underground fortress or just beyond the trap door located inside the building? If that's where he is, he would have passed right by me as I haven't moved from where I was (which I assume was directly in the passage in between the front door and the trap door)))

As Westan hears Akumo unfolding his story he can hardly refrain himself to smile and hug the dwarf, but he manages to look cold and serious,

What on earth are you talking there Akumo? What were they doing? Did you managed to catch on their intentions? These are some serious news my friend!

Then I turn my attention to captain Morvahn and report back,

Dannis is fine captain. We were arranging some traps against any potential intruders in one of the hallways nearby.

Elliah

(Good point... for simplicity's sake, let's assume that Akumo came in through a side entrance so as not to attract the attention of any lookouts the loyalists might have. Not the best solution, but I'd rather not retcon he last few posts out of existence. Sorry about that.)

You overhear Akumo's entrance into the trapdoor behind you. Apparently, he traveled through one of the many side passages. Just how big is the building?

Westan too passes in front of you, barely offering a glance before pursuing Akumo.

Akumo and Westan (and Elliah, if she follows Akumo and Westan

"I hope he's not using anything explosive. Fire around this wreck could prove devastating." He turns to Akumo. "Looking for something, you say? I don't suppose you happened to catch what it was?"

"Regardless, we can hold our own against fifty. I'd rather slaughter every last one if it means keeping our secret safe. Die they must, for the good of Karnakiid!"

Shar'ra and Ehren

Shar'ra Intimidate- "WHAT THE HELL!" the guard literally falls to the ground in horror. His companion remains standing, but seems to be paralyzed in fear.

"I don't know about any loyalists, I just got hired to keep intruders out! I just wanted enough money to pay for a trip out of this hellish desert! Please, don't kill me..."

"Hmm, perhaps I was mistaken.

Jerruk is a Loyalist, that much is certain. I simply assumed you two were also apart of the following primarily due to the fact that most of this towns guards are....

Regardless, we are here on official business from Captain Varryn. Step aside please."

Elliah, spotting Westan and Akumo going to the trap door decides to follow them to Captain Morvahn. "Captain, I came to find Dannis but he wasn't where he was when I left. He might have gone outside, but I'm not sure. You didn't see him out there, did you Akumo?"

"Am not to keen on fighting here, one could escape and tell the garrison, then you'll have all the city looking up and down in every bit of this here neighbourhood, if ya sure you can get them all then be my guest, but one slips through and you can kiss this here pretty base goodbye"

Akumo then looks up to the pretty dream dwarf and then back to the big boss man.

"No I've not seen him, If I were him I best be praying those guards up thar don't find him, but he doesn't look like the stupid kind to go out thar and risk his neck needlessly"

Westan raises his should before replying,

Now flammable trap I believe, though he mentioned something about explosive runes. I hope he is not mad to light the whole wreck in flames. I don't want to be caught like a rat in his tunnels.

Hearing Akumo spoke he nods,

I second that captain. Maybe we should give second thoughts to engaging in a fight that could expose the movement to the public eyes. One cannot be careful enough this days.

Westan, Akumo, and Elliah

Morvahn's expression darkens. "Explosive runes? Gods damn him, is he going out of his way to kill us? Even if this place doesn't ignite, it would still give the guards a chance to escape! Someone, go after him." He quickly directs a group of loyalists with this task.

"Akumo, you're quite right about one things; we must kill them all. I'll send some men out through a secret entrance. They'll double back above ground and flank the guards while we hold them off from here. It's not a perfect plan, but it will suffice."

"This area of the city essentially belongs to us, so it doesn't matter if civilians hear the fighting. If they live within six blocks of here, then they're with us."

"If you have no more questions, then get inside the gate! We need time to barricade it before the army gets here, and we still have to wait for Dannis."

Shar'ra and Ehren

The two comply soundlessly, other than a slight whimper from the less talkative one. The other one unlocks the door for you with shaky hands, then stands aside.

The house itself is less grandiose than one might think; the walls are undecorated, and the atrium's rug looks like it was purchased in the marketplace for a few coppers. The room has an unpleasant greyness to it, unaffected by the old fashioned fireplace burning in the corner.

There is a wooden door on the opposite side of the room, to the west.

How can anyone live in this miserable place, thought Ehren? If he can afford to hire guards he can surely improve his living space. Still at the main entrance he gazes around the room to see if he missed anything with his first appraisal.

Seeing nobody in the immediate room Ehren decides to focus on the only the other door, on the western wall of the room. He moves over and puts his ear to door, trying to listen for signs of life within.

Ehren

Spot- You notice that the fireplace lacks a chimney, and yet creates no smoke.

Listen- You overhear a group of guards talking the the next room. You can't make out any words - these Karnakan accents still give you trouble - but you manage to discern at least three different voices.

Upon hearing that the next room is occupied Ehren silently gains Shar'ras' attention. He holds up three of his fingers and points at the door. After Indicating that Shar'ra should come and listen to the gaurds, hoping she might be able to understand more of what they're saying, he moves over to investigate the odd fireplace.
