Let me start with a quote:
AAAAAHHH!! ANOTHER 2-D SIDE SCROLLER!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!! Oh hey, wait a minute, this one doesn't suck! In fact, its pretty good! You play Abe, a weird looking alien that works in a meat packing plant. When he finds out that he is about to be one of the next items on the menu, he freaks out and tries to escape. Along the way, he tries to save his other slave friends, and not get killed. Alright, its not the greatest plot in the world, but what the hell do you want?
This sums it up pretty good ;) . Originally, Oddworld was supposed to be a Quintology on the strange fauna and flaura of the alien world known as "Oddworld". By playing with some of those creatures, you'd learn more about it. Up till now, only 3 games have appeared (AFAIK) and, unfortunately, it looks like the quintology will only be continued on X-Box, starting with Munch's Oddyssey. But what kind of game is Abe's Oddyssey? Well, it's a platform game alright, but not an easy one. Some of the puzzles you'll have to solve are quite difficult... countless times have I been blown to pieces, grinded, eaten by the Oddworld equivalent of a Bulldog/Tank crossbreed etc. That's what makes the game so unique: the wide variety of strange creatures appearing in it. In Abe's Oddyssey you can even take control of some of the squid-headed guards by singing/meditating and then shoot the other guards. Part 2, Abe's Exoddus allows for even more creature control...

Check out the Official Oddworld site.

God, I'm thirsty :D ** takes another drink from his C.R. **

Yes...the warm, tropical breezes can assist your tense area, especially when exposed to copious amounts of sand and sun. I also recommend Flaming Navels. :D

Night Time Prayer

A very different gear.........This is one I wrote years ago....I ran across it this morning...it is dark..but I have always liked it's power...

Night Time Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep
And pray for silent Death to creep
Long side my bed with heavy breast
And velvet hand, and icy breath

To stab into my spirit lost
With hardened saber fresh and moist
To hidden places, forbidden thrills
A captive heart beats faster still

From bitter rapture, splendor burning
All my soul within me yearning
For Silent Death to kill or quicken
I lay awake and wait, and listen

Let not the morning come a pray
Lest I have had the chance to lay
Within the arms of Death to find
I’ve heard him whisper, Now your Mine

Pleasnat Little Pain

Tahks Chan..*HUG* Here is another dark one......

Pleasant Little Pain

I do like it so, this pleasant little pain
Bitter sweet as absinthe, and more intoxicating yet
Reminding me that all swords have two edges
And the truest cut deep and clean

A warm familiar throb
That brings pleasure with the pain
Fills me up, spills over
And leaves me cold and empty

This is the thirst never quenched
The fire not allowed to burn
The flood that never spills
The secret never shared

Yet if not for this
I would feel nothing at all
May it never leave
And never wane

I love it so
This Pleasant Little Pain
